pappilo:LOL, You go kill person with ignorance. The govt responsibility is the economy and the common man on the street. So importation and trade of imported items is not part of the economy? The duties paid from imports is not part of the economy ? Pls what is the economy by your definition? Now I know your level of education. You win. |

PMB just said he has dollar at N199 for people ready to engage in the real business sector e.g agriculture. If you want to import toothpick go and source dollars by yourself. Sai Baba! |

pappilo:You have not answered my question about the economy. So when you have sourced it, why won't the bank keep it for you? Why will the bank stop you from spending your own money from your card. Whether you like it or not Nigeria has 2 options . Allow the market determine the price of the dollar. This will see the dollar rice to up to 300 but have investors come in. Or devalue the naira. Without doing any of the above the 2016 budget will not be funded. Our economy he is trying to protect will collapse. If he knew anything about economy, he would not have wasted time in appointing ministers to hit the ground rolling. The delay has cost us billions we might not be able to recover. |

unite4real:The so-called posted this trash on 24 threads in the business and investment sections of Nairaland. Members of the stockmarket and Treasury bill threads may not fall for this scam, but same can not be said of most people. The average Nigerian will always fall, because we love the easy and the too-good-to-be-true way of making money. |

I have t bill of 6 month with maturity date of 7 of April 2016. I will like to auction it out for the remaining period. If anyone is interested. I can give 6percent for less than 91 days. |

| Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by feelamong(op): 9:01am On Jan 08, 2016 |
ukay2:OMO means Open Market Operations...basically used as a monetary instrument by CBN to mop up funds to mostly reduce liquidity and raise interest rates when they see that excess liquidity is distorting the system. Usually CBN will just alert banks who will then alert their customers that have funds to place with CBN. The banks/customers then agree with CBN at a rate which they think is good for them to place funds with CBN. its usually seen as a signal of rate direction by the money markets |
