I only came here to read the comments/quarrel between the Yorubas and the ibos on this thread. Deep down I know this two tribes love each other to death.. lol. My mum is Yoruba and my dad is ibo so am always the judge in between.

Don't deceive yourself Awo would have left him in the south and formed a coalition with the north if it will guarantee more power. All Awo wanted was more and more powers regardless of how he gets it or who he aligns with. Awo was the first prominent civilian to serve in a northern military government. Read up his autobiography, your eyes will be opened up 100 times about his dark heart. Zik did the right thing.
