OK, I have been reading on nairaland how any concerned in-law is termed Nosy, and this also reminds me of a my friends home, with a similar story as that on the front page earlier about the husband been an errand boy, but in this case worse. on instruction of the wife, the man stopped paying my friends medical school bills and stopped helping his mom. the wife and others felt they were nosy and should get a job... the mother is a hard worker, she struggled and trained my friend, just as he did with his elder brother earlier ... now things have turned, no more cash for the elder brother, but he is still a puppet , the wife now rains abuses on him, no peace for him, he comes to my friends family house seeking for assistance this days... my friend has refused to help or involve himself with any of his issues although the mom is sympathetic and helps in her own way... my friend is a nice guy, and am sure he will forgive his bro when the time is right .. I face a similar situation now, I am a respectful guy, I love my name and will do anything to maintain my name and respect.... I don't want to be termed a nosy or wicked in-law. So pls, since we can't complain or wade into their issues, but only watch it go very bad , why should we expect to pick them up when they have hit rock bottom..... what is our role as in-laws when such matters arise... pardon me, I am not married .... So might not understand many things about marriage... |
