Arresting nd arresting nd more arresting.
How many of these arrested thieves would be successfully prosecuted nd subsequently jailed, that's the big question.
This shouldn't be another example of 'initial gra gra'

This has been happening for long.
Government encouraging politicians to create new political parties. They give them money to do it and the main reason for this is to disorganise other political parties.

PDP to SDP, OK, from which account to which account?

For what purpose?

A lot more details needed.

Though he can claim innocence, Falae still needs to walk us through this . . .

Why I took N100m from Anenih –Falae

Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Chief Olu Falae, has admitted that he collected N100 million from the former chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). New Telegraph had exclusively reported yesterday that a former SGF and erstwhile governor in the South-West got N100 million each from the N260 million given to Anenih by the office of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd).

Falae told New Telegraph yesterday that the money was purely an interparty affair between the PDP and the Social Democratic Party (SDP), which he is the National Chairman. The former presidential candidate said the money was given to the SDP to effectively campaign for the PDP in the 2015 presidential election. According to him, in the build up to the 2015 general elections, the PDP and SDP entered into working agreement.

His words: “In the build up to the presidential election, the PDP approached the SDP which I chaired. The then ruling party solicited for our support in order for President Goodluck Jonathan to win the March 28 presidential election. “Anenih related with me as the chairman of the PDP BoT and I did same as the SDP National Chairman. He wrote to me as PDP BoT chairman and I wrote back as SDP National Chairman stating conditions/terms for the alliance.

I have the record. “It is true that N100 million was given to my party to endorse and work for the Jonathan’s candidature in the 2015 election. We used the money for that purpose and we effectively campaigned for the PDP since we did not have presidential candidate in the election. The money was not for me.

Hian! No wonder this shameless old man was, and has been incoherent, blabbing and saying, just after Jonathan lost, that "the West" would "secede," using his obviously induced kidnap as an excuse and his platform!

In addition to Karma, and after Mr. Falae would have returned either by crook or hook that blood N100 million he took, God should please punish him and his household for dragging the name of a whole region and its innocent, hard working people into his mud.

Shiooorrr!

Falae may not have known it was Money meant for the fight against Boko Haram but having operated at the highest levels of Nigerian government, he surely knew at the back of his mind that the funds were of dubious origin. He adopted a don't ask don't tell stance.

People like Falae (and there are many) who cry anto-corruption and integrity with one voice (plenty of the old Afenifere guard fall into this category) and than benefit from the proceeds of corruption behind the scenes through settlement and other guises......so long as they didnt steal the money themselves.

Nothing wrong with collecting money fro strategic alliance from PDP, but considering the nature of PDP and in particular Anenih, he had a moral obligation to ask for the source of the funds, at least let it be on record that anenih said this is where the money came from.

In any event I wrote off Falae, Afenifere and their lot after they endorsed Jonathan.

Sad to acknowledge but true! The so called Awoists are all self serving bunch of hyprocrites. Jagaban is not a clean man by any stretch but when you take stock and history, he will probably go down as the most important Yoruba man since Awo.

But Nigeria of nowadays, a person who collects money from a thief is also a potential thief, police go arrest all of them until freed by the court. I remember the saying that, tel me your friend and I would tell u who u are.

This #Dasukigate reminds me of a particular scene in Baba Wande's legendary movie "Ti Oluwa N'ile." In the said clip, Aderupoko a morgue attendant was being questioned by the hospital management about his unholy and corrupt practices of selling corpses in the morgue. At a point he said, "O maa gbo'ga; gbogbo won ni n j'alubosha." So Baba Falae too dey chop 'alubosa' even at his age.

Imagine the irony of life. While some elders like Buhari are pained by the wanton corruption in the land, some others like Falae, Anenih, Yakassai want the corruption to continue unabated. No wonder their foolish endorsements and unnecessary heating up of the polity before the elections. They know that there won't be free money. Woe unto elders that do not think about the future of their children and children' children for a bowl of porridge. O ga o.
God Bless you Razid....

Bros,

Let me tell you a little story. Back in my youth, when we were on Jamb-Uni transition, we we hung out a lot...........there was this story of a guy that "hit" (stole) a large sum of money from his parents. The "gbege" became a police matter. Then police started an arrest spree. If he had as much as bought gala for you, you're arrested. His girl friend claimed he gave her 5k (just like 50k of today) and she used it to buy a skirt. The DPO was so upset(5k for a skirt?), and locked her up.

You cannot claim innocence in a scandal of this magnitude. And our so called Elders in Afenifere who had lost their relevance and now loosing their name, it's a pity
Yours is a very good and mature response, @mapet, to that diabolical post by omenka; many thanks!

Juxtapose that with the tribe that had 2 leaders

A. Led over 3m people, especially more of non combatants to an ill thought through & needless mass suicide, left them to their fate, ran away to a neighboring country & came back with tail between his legs to claim " all is finished" & accepted "no Victor no vanquished"

B. A new gen leader who lived in yonder land, filled his people's heads with delusion of grandeur, makes unguarded & vile statements & is presently locked down like a zoo animal (pun intended) cool

Don't cry for Yoruba, they are doing just fine..

You ALL are the ones that need a bit of sophistication in order to quit making wrong choices & stop playing victim!! Grow up & some balls!! cool

I just don't want us to jump the gun here, that's what I'm saying. Let the anti graft agency connect their dots and present us a vivid image of how complicit Falae is.
I'm also reluctant to criticize Chief Falae; the EFCC hasn't invited him yet. His interrogation may center on confirming how much he received from Anenih and how to refund it. I don't think that Chief Falae has done any wrong if he didn't know that the money given to his party was stolen.

Well since all these people are claiming its for Election mobilization and visits well, it won't come as a surprise to me when EFCC starts arresting ordinary Nigerians, especially students. This is because politicians use SUG who in turn use students and give them #300 and so on.

Make we dey watch.

I sincerely hope they get the guts to end what they started in court and whoever is found filthy should be dealt with in accordance with the provisions of the law of the land
