He was actually arrested being an NPN party man. All top political leaders of both the ruling NPN and the opposition parties, and almost all top office holders at the national and state levels were arrested at the onset of the Buhari regime.

However, like Buhari said that the mum should not worry not, he and some others were set free by the truth as the Buhari government did not press any charges.

He was an ex-inmate. When Ojukwu was pardoned by d weak Shagari, he returned to Nigeria & joined d NPN to d dismay of Nnamdi Azikiwe & his NPP. Ojukwu, a stalwart of d massively corrupt NPN was jailed along wit his corrupt peers in d NPN.

On top of that,it is alleged by the government that he sneaked into the country without using any of his international passports and you're here talking crap. Can you go into any other country without using the right channels and your travel documents? Wouldn't you get arrested? Yet,you want government to fold its arms and path Kanu on his back abi?
This same Kanu is alleged to have been arrested in possession of illegal arms and ammunition and you're here talking without knowing your facts. You want the government to sit idle until another potential terrorist starts another shiit right? The last government sat still until a group of miscreants grew into a global organization of terror and here you are carrying 'tribe' on your head.
