My hubby is a citizen. Im here on a spoue Visa.
He will be her sponsor and she will also be providing her bank statements. Shes a caterer in Lagos.

do we need to supply my hubby's payslips. I checked https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/423699/2015_04_20_Visitor_Supporting_Documents_Guide_-_Final__2__-_CLEAN.pdf

HI all, I requested for my six month payslip from the office and realised that all the 6 payslips carry today's date even though it specifies the different months (e.g. november 2015, december 2015, ...) Is that ok to submit with my application?

Also could someone post a sample letter of introduction from a place of work?

If that's the case, in your introduction letter or information on the application form explain to the ECO in details.

For the introduction letter, I dropped a sample around October. Confirm otherwise I can re-post.

From my personal understanding even though I live in Nigeria. Your "friend" is not qualify for that category of visa.

Good morning all, in filling the UKBA visa form, there is a section that asks for "Please Enter Details of up to your 5 most recent visits". I use to be in the UK on a tier 4 visa for studies. Do I add details of my travels in and out of UK during the validity of my tier 4 visa ? Or only details of trips i made using the C-Visit visa before my studies? THank you all

No one can tell you here, read carefully the hotel cancellation policy. You'll be guided.

Yes. It's clearly stated on the form.

You can use www.oanda.com to do your conversion. That's what the UKBA uses and it's usually £1=N306

You are playing with the Lion's tail. You had better make another booking before its too late, Infact you need to be extra prayerful cos the ECO might use the confirmation number u submitted with ur application and if it shows DECLINED, then u know what that means.

Hello All,

Fantastic thread and solid counsel from everyone.
Here's my case and I need some guidance please.

I'm a first time applicant, married Dec 2014 and going on holiday to a family friend's who is a permanent resident but without my husband. I have included all necessary documents including an introductory letter from my employer. My net income per month is 390k. However, I am worried because I do not have a tax clearance certificate, although it is stated very clearly in my payslip that tax is deducted from my salary monthly. I head the HR unit in my organization, so doing a letter from the HR unit stating that I pay my taxes doesn't seem like a good plan to me. Unfortunately, I'm going to the embassy first thing tomorrow morning and I only just started hearing this tax thing today. I'll appreciate if you can guide me. Please also share what you think of my chances. I'm not a first time traveller although I haven't been to either the US or the UK before.

Eagerly anticipating your response. Thanks again.

Your payslips shoeing tax deductions is sufficient

Tax clearance certificate or tax card are meant for business owners especially the smaller ones. It is a requirement to allow ECO evaluate their businesses to determine if the business is legitimate and subsisting. In your own case; you're an employee of a reputable organisation judging by your net salary per month. Your pay slip showing your monthly tax deduction which is remittable to the Government by your company is sufficient.

Best wishes.

It's not a factor that determines the successful outcome of a visa. Each application is treated on its own merit. Your purpose of visit and accommodation must be genuine.

If your statement of account is healthy without money logdement, your work documents intact and marriage certificate and picture included, your chances are high.

You can also list the documents you're submitting for review.

I am planning to go on vacation to d uk. But I have few question to ask.

1. Is there a particular amount that is suppose to be in my account before applying?

2. What minimim account balance will you advice me to have

3. I read that one needs to defend the amount in ones account an example is showing or attaching your pay slip to the doc so they know whats coming in and what going out of your account.

4. I am I expecting like 200k from 2 diff pple, How do I defend this amount thats is about to come in to my account

Waiting for your reply.
Thank you and God bless you.

@Simplesoul05

If you have N1billion in your bank account without proof of funds, employment/work history e.t.c; your application will be rejected.

But a man with just N100k in his account can easily get a visa with a healthy statement of account and good employment/work history.

In a nutshell, it is imperative to maintain a proper bank statement and profile. Also a good job history will increase your chances.

If you have 400k deposited into your without a substantial paper evidence prior to your visa application, I'm afraid you will be rejected.
