Wait I was told for Mass Comm M.sc once I do 36 units of compulsory courses and 6 units of projects am free to go. How true is that?
MimiHANS:

The programme is for 3 semesters, and not 4 semesters.
Seeing that you have already amassed the 45 credit units (project inclusive) required for the programme, presumably no carry-over, you'll feasibly see your name on the Grad List (New).

Reason: Last semester's result has been compiled, but the result will be out on your portal by February or early March

Concerning the Alumni clearance, it was stated on the school website that all graduands should undergo the process. Any graduand who snubbed it should not be surprised if his or her name is not on the list.

but most people i know their names appeared have not done the alumni payment/registration.

i personally went to the accountant office to enquiry about the alumni payment and the lady that attended to me said i must see my name on the list before paying for alumni.

You 'must' see your name on the list before paying and/or undergoing any kind of clearance/approval.

Goodday, Please I want to do masters in Business Administration and I a degree in Geography and Planning. How possible is it for because I'm not a fan of pgds, I read some where that if I have a certification in business administration I can do the masters straight without pgd since I read Geography as first degree. Please I also need updated when your next admission begins. Thanks.

this is not true.

last semester's result has also been used in the graduating list.

i have seen my name on the first list that just came out and my project arrived lagos on december 12.

also i wrote last semester's exam also.

more lists are coming even up till friday evening.

don't panic.

results will be out 1-3 weeks after the convocation.

for last year, the results came out the night of 31st Jan. to Feb. 1.

@uau

Must one attend the convocation to get the certificate? Do you have any info about steps to take to get the certificate without necessarily being at the convocation. My name is on the list by the way.

It's not mandatory.
If you know you can't make it to the convocation, due to some logistic reasons. The penalty/retribution is, after the convocation, you'll have to go and obtain your certificate at the headquarters.

You're required to go to the headquarters with a duly completed and authenticated clearance form issued at your Study Centre.

All the best!
