If people keep encouraging this, then no one else is safe. All the government need to gag opposition is to commit crimes and attribute it to them, and then arrest them with the help of the masses who are too naive to listen to two sides of the story.

Tompolo said he didn't blow up the pipeline, I would want to believe that he is innocent until proven otherwise.

Those that are advising Tompolo to submit himself to the court are not being sincere. Nigeria currently has no Judiciary, as the Judiciary had become merged with the executive, the FG have taken away the trust of any accused sensible citizen, in the judiciary.

The FG can decide to jail Tompolo forever without court order, by filling one fictitious charges after another, and we will still have sycophants abetting the government. Already some of them are telling us that they voted for change( dictatorship) and not for rule of law, that is the level the country has degenerated, and yet people want Tompolo to subject himself to the judiciary of such a country?

Was this not what Buhari's saint Abacha did against NADECO in those days huh

So what are you saying? Stop being clever by half. If facing the law means crisis in the Niger Delta then he should not face the law?
It is not definite that he has committed any crimes but if there are allegations then he must go to court to clear himself. I do not know what you mean by wisdom and why bring Buhari into it. Are you suggesting that Buhari is or should be intervening in criminal cases?

Everybody should clear their name. If the Nigerian state is not strong enough to manage any mayhem that Tompolo's cotravellers unleash in the event of his prosecution then the Nigerian state does not deserve to exist otherwise it is a fight and confrontation that MUST happen whether in 2016 or 2026. There cannot be any warlords in any credible Nation

So if the hidden threat is that oil flow will stop 100% for 5 years I think it is worth it and if the Niger Delta succeeds in breaking away that too will be a deserved victory for them.

Why did the government not apply wisdom in dealing with this irrational touts? Why does Buhari government think force can solve all problems? What can't they learn from previous government experience? When Yar'dua gave amnesty to those idiots, they think it was because he was a weakling? These guys have the capacity to cripple our oil production capability, they have done it before and can do it again. At this point when oil is selling low we don't need these disruptions. We are still highly dependent on oil. Let's stop deceiving ourselves. Until we diversify our economy we can't challenge the militants. They will always kick us below the belt.

All these riff-raffs that think too highly of themselves cos the media gives them unnecessary attention, who the freaking heck does Tompolo think he is in the scheme of things? Buhari is the president and head of the federal government of the federal republic of Nigeria and he knows that he oversees all parts of the country and it would definitely be foolish of him to sideline anyone but let it be clear that he has the executive power to go after troublemakers and people like Tompolo who like to threaten national security. Let it be made clear that if the federal government goes after these noisemakers who threaten national security, heavens will not fall....all these things Tompolo is saying,we've heard them before and the federal government will continue to show these idiots (Tompolo and co) that no single individual or group of individuals is/are bigger than the country.

No there is a lot of force government can apply. We must not forget that not one day did government declare a state of emergency in any oil producing state. I pray that never happens but there is a lot a DESPERATE government can do again I pray that never happens.
One reason these militants are succesful is the local population support them. Or are indifferent.
It is not beyond government power especially one that is desperate to EVACUATE an entire state and relocate every man woman and goat. Then they would start crying for UN intervention. It is not beyond government powers having evacuated to REPOPULATE with an entirely new group of individuals. There is such a population ready and waiting with fishing experience in the North East.
Go and ask the people of Palestine who are now begging to get a tiny bit of their land back. Today they can only point and say that used to be our father's land. Man is capable of great evil so when you start your you never know what the next person can do . There are countless examples from the Americas of indigenous peoples that have become minorities in their own land . This is easy to do in the Delta and will not take 20 years.
Let us stop all these empty threats because if the Nigeria State becomes desperate very bad things will happen and most of it will be in the Delta and no one from anywhere will come to help they will only condemn from a distance
