The question is, what did he do with the $15bn difference and the excess dollars earned in that period?

Can any supporter of GEJ sincerely answer that what he 'achieved' commensurates with what we earned?

The hardship of today is a result of poor decisions of years past.

I don't envy PMB and his team at all. They inherited a hemorrhaging economy at a time oil price is crashing on daily basis.

3. After running government for 8 months and people are still not feeling the "CHANGE" blame GEJ/PDP

I wonder when APC will stop this blame game and face governance squarely, APC led government has turned democracy to "blamemocracy"

ABUJA – All Progressives Congress, APC has said that the financial recklessness exhibited by the previous government of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan was responsible for the fall of Naira and dwindling economy.

It further stated that the People’s Democratic Government, PDP “squandered” the resources of the country, stressing the APC met nothing with which to run the country.

The position of the party was stated by the Acting National Publicity Secretary of the party, Comrade Timi Frank while speaking exclusively to Vanguard in Abuja on Sunday.

Frank who asked Nigerians to be patient with the government of the President Muhammadu Buhari however assured the people that the president was committed to reviving the economy.

“Personally, I am worried about the current situation of the economy but again I am letting you know it is not our fault because this is what we met. We met a bastardised system. We took over from a government that destroyed our economy. The PDP government embezzled the wealth of our nation. So our economy is something we are fighting to survive.

“And I can assure you that our government is taking every necessary step to make sure we revive our economy and that everything will come to stay. Clearly, I can tell you that this is why the President is moving round to make sure our economy stands again.

“The current situation of our country today, I am asking Nigerians not to blame President Buhari because he is working very hard to make sure things go well with Nigerians that voted APC government to power. They will not be disappointed.

“So the blame goes back again to the previous government, the PDP government which squandered the resources of our country. And today, Nigeria as a nation is suffering because of them. But by the grace of God, things will be fine again”, he said.

APC did a good job of convincing Nigerians that they had the vision, knew the direction and would take us to CHANGE.

Now that they are in the driver's seat, we are learning that they don't know how to DRIVE.

@ least we are on the same page.....it goes way beyond that......am very sure this has been in the offing for a very long time.....the US planned this and it is being targeted at some countries e.g for reasons best known to them.........am sure for a new version of colonialism......

Oil price fell from 120 to N50 under GEJ yet the naira never went above N200 during GEJ 's regime, in barely seven months, the Nepa Bill certificate holder have shut down our currency to exchange for N305 to a dollar!! A government with no economic direction and an incompetent finance minister!!

Governance is not magic. You cant wake up one morning press a button and everything turns around. The fact is GEJ govt led us into a deep pit and to make matters worse, our source of revenue has all but dried up. So its going to take tremendous effort to turn things around. What we can do is to support govt to get us out of here. And how do we do that? SMEs...start something small and pay your taxes

By making sure the 2016 budget is far less dependent on oil, yes he has.

By tasking ministry of solid minerals to explore mining to the maximum, and by the minister clearly saying that each state is now at liberty to explore mining without much hinderance, yes he has.

He has taken the first needed steps towards diversification.

Of course we're talking abt FR.
I know the FR is not a physical money account. However it can be depleted by certain actions of cbn sanctioned by the president plus failure to ensure that all foreing earnings are paid into the account. That's what largely happened during GEJ hence it didn't grow.

If course diversification of the economy is the way forward but it will amount to being economical with t h e truth if we pretend GEJ didn't have anything to do with our current state of affairs.

GEJ didn't blame nor complain for two obvious reasons:
1. He knew he was going to do his own looting and move on.

2. Crude price increased during his time, thereby helping him in his looting without being detected early enough.
