bodejohn:The simple way to understand it is every 1 cedi u see is in actual value 100cedis. so your comparison now should be if 1cedi =N52 it actually means 100cedis=N52. In this case you don't look at the face figure but the value. Hope this will explain it better. dude the explanations @mekaboy gave you was a hit back to back. So bro if its the naira you want come and collect it. 1 Like |

Does anyone know the current fixed deposit rate at first bank? |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Chukzyfcb(m): 6:28pm On Jan 14, 2016 |
Desanta:3.5% 30days 4% 91days FCMB can offer btween 5-6% for 180days. They re the highest I know of presently. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Johnrake69: 9:22pm On Jan 14, 2016 |
Luckystar220: Yes I agree with alikote. Buh again, what are the available alternatives at this point?. 8% is still very much a better deal than 4%. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Johnrake69: 9:32pm On Jan 14, 2016 |
Desanta: Why not consider the ARM Money market fund? Why tie down your capital for 180days for mere 5%, and by the time the rate comes back up like we are anticipating it should. You will be at a disadvantage. My one kobo! Peace. |

Is it possible to bid for 2 bonds? say u have 5m in the bank. you want to bid for 2020 bond at 14% and 2026 at 17% . anyone that succeeds you go for it. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Johnrake69: 12:10pm On Jan 15, 2016 |
Cation: That is not a challenge at all. All you need do is fill an update form with your passport photograph and attach any federal government issued ID you have. Please send me an email (Kelvin.chiejine@arm.com.ng). |

Chukzyfcb:Skye bank is better...my sis fixed around 1m for 5.5% for just 90 days |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by unite4real: 9:28pm On Jan 16, 2016 |
SomBaby: I hope you know it's per annum interest. What you actually get for the 90 days is 1/4 of 5.5% which is about 1.375%. That's N13,750. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Chukzyfcb(m): 12:55pm On Jan 17, 2016 |
SomBaby:Hmmm...5.5? Well not so fantastic when compared to the previous rate but its sure better than most banks around |

For those that wants to invest in Fixed deposit. I work with a Non- banking financial institution called Rosabon financial services on the Main land (Lagos) with a branch in PH, licensed and regulated by CBN and also been in existence for over 22yrs now. our interest rate still remain unbeatable, fantastic and far better than what all the commercial banks are giving out presently. For 1M is actually 12% per annum for 90days and is still open to negotiation. The longer the tenure , the better the interest rate. You may contact me if you are interested. 08036450638,09053606576 or a.abatan@rosabon-finance.net and you can also earn commission on referral or Join our Broker Program today and earn as much as 3.5% on every Treasury or Lease Transaction that you generate. Thanks |
