hello nairalanders.
I have been using this Glo blackberry subscription for androidand am enjoying it.
the reason why I opened this post is to ask my nairalaners if this act is sin.
someone told me that it is cheating because Glo mobile thinks the user is using BlackBerry.
so my fellow nairalanders and christian friends. what do you have to say about this?
is it a sin or not?
is Glo mobile aware that android users are doing this?

To 'relaxed' Christians & Muslims like many of us, there may be nothing wrong in it but to the 'very religious' ones, I think its almost the same as stealing. Like, using something without permission from the owner

Glo deducted my money on different occasion when I did not subscribe to any service apart from making call.

It's simply using a plan meant for blackberry for android, it doesn't involve any extra circumvent.

I'm not sure God is happy with them in the first place as as they give blackberry users more value to their money than android users. How is a blackberry user's #1000 more valuable than an android user?

You only use your good given brain to get what you want. You bought BIS for #1000 you have no clue of what to do with it (it gonna be useless if you did not make use of it), you brainstorm to find a way to make it useful to you is it a sin OP? You paid for a blackberry plan and decided to use it on Android is it a sin? Is it a sin to do android subscription and use it on PC? Is it a sin to use your phone subscription to tether to other people PC all what I see I a matter of choice.. I bought blackberry subscription and I decide to use it on my android...

How is it a Sin?
Glo made a plan for BB, even though your phone isn't one but you made your phone to act as one( which technology can permit)
Since it is Not a Sin to Tweak your phone anyhow you want, then it is no Sin to enjoy whatsoever remuneration as a result of the tweaking!!!!

By the way, didn't you pay for IT!

Network providers been reaping Nigerians off our hard earn money since day one, I don't think they (the network providers) consider their pathetic act sin against God so why should you? At least you paid 1000 naira abi na.

initially when mtn started in this country we bought sim cards for about #50,000 have you asked yourself why should we now be buying it at #100....then it ought to be given to us for free, but now it's free,

There is so many things we do in nigeria that is wrong even to the laws of the nation but God overlooks,
We still spray money even in church weddings (you have sinned because the law of the land Nigeria says its wrong)

OP... is it a sin if I choose to change my android fone to a blackberry by changing it's imei? the answer is 'no'...... it's my personal decision.... since av changed my fone type from being android, I then prefer to use the normal subscription rate of blackberry on my fone which nw uses a BlackBerry identification number....

No its not in anyway a sin. Because you discovered that glo bis also works on android when the android is configured . globalcom is also aware that it works on android
. so how is it a sin ?. Aren't you paying for it. If glo is not in support of it they would have closed it as well
