pls there is a law that gives special treatment for those who feel remorse for what they have done and are willing to turn a new leaf. talking about silence this only applies b4 the arrest. ask anybody that has been arrested b4
you may read the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015 to get more clarification and as the law you are talking about I have not heard about it you may help my ignorance or are you referring to Plea Bargain? If you are how does it affect arraignment? It only affects the punishment after conviction

am talking of "leniency". when. two people commit the same crime one might recieve fair treatment 4 admitting he commited the crime and shorten the time it will take for investigation to be carried. same cannot be said of the second person who have decided to take the judges on a merry ride, and at the end be found guilty as charged in the first place.

there is nothing like leniency is Nigeria criminal law. The punishment for every offence is clearly stated the only time an accused/convict can ask for leniency is after conviction but before sentence and that is Allocutus. The only thing that can reduce your sentence or punishment before trial is Plea Bargain which is not effectively practiced in Nigerian legal system.

so if someone steals or takes ur money and later return it, and also explain to you that he was under a spell or something came over him. you will give him same punishment as the one that steals ur money and at same time refuses to return it or appologise and even goes as far as calling u a fool

They are both coming from different places. Dasuki is coming from the EFCC custody escorted by the EFCC officers, Metuh is coming from the prison and is been escorted by the prison wardens. They have different rules. Don't compare apple and oranges.
