I know it's hard for some of us not to be partisan.What the Hon minister means is that our total reliance on oil has been bad for Nigeria.There is a lot of foreign exchange that can be generated from agriculture.we won't have to import food.we would have a huge foreign reserve hence a good exchange rate to the dollar.He should be commended not vilified.our hope is that this policy is aggressively implemented.

Many will never read to what the minister is pointing to before nailing him down. To be sincere, it is time Nigerian deviate from over reliance on oil to other areas like agriculture and solid minerals. With the way out economy is going, it may not do us good if we couldn't reason along with the government to put things right. Though it may take time but there will be light at the end of the tunnel

The last person to openly love big oil was Gowon when he famously (or infamously) declared we have money but don't know what to do with it. Ever since every leader has pretended they hated the black stuff but alas at their exit they sink deeper into the oil wells of dependency. Ogbe is speaking the truth by half and his cunningness we see through. Why won't he blame IBB when he knows the gap toothed general is his boss's nemesis. Are we saying the economy was rosy during the reign of Buhari I in 1984, or are we saying Buhari diversified the economy then and IBB re-tied us to the barrel. Abegi. Every Nigerian is responsible for what we see today. And without restructuring the quality of our lives will always be better yesterday. This is one of the few countries that has never had an economic upturn. It has been a world record, 50 years of recession. Something is just not normal about this country.
