The Yorubas don't deceive themselves and they don't live on illusions. Yorubas will be the last to agitate for Nigeria's break-up, but if para venture Nigeria break today. The Oduduwas will be the best country to behold amongst the lots. HiddenShado: 3 Likes |

samento: Lies of hypocrisy to divert attention from the very obvious! FYI, at the heat of the June 12 crisis of 1990s the Yoruba Obas sold MKO Abiola's mandate to Sani Abacha for a mesh of porridge! Remember, in 1960s, the SW region was aflame with Awolowo vs Akintola political fight which blossomed into the 'Operation Wetie' with great arson, maiming and wanton destruction of lives and properties. Kwankwaso had to come all the way from Kano, assembled cowardly Yoruba leaders in Ibadan and simply told them to shut up! "By the time the Europeans came, even the Yoruba people, did not even learn how to live with each other, they were fighting and all over the north, they were fighting everywhere, there were tribal wars." I just remember only recently the Yoruba leaders said they want to break, break from where. The Yoruba are probably the people who economically enjoy Nigeria more than anybody, economically. So why are they going?" - Mallam Adam Ciroma, 2016. Mallam Adamu Ciroma, journalist, administrator, politician, former minister of different portfolios and erstwhile governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, is one of Nigeria’s leading statesmen. Ciroma, who was third in the 1978 presidential primaries of the defunct National Party of Nigeria, NPN, subsequently turned out to become a close confidant of President Shehu Shagari and served as minister in the Second Republic and a close confidant of President Olusegun Obasanjo in the Fourth Republic https://www.nairaland.com/2692549/only-bark-land-wont-dare |

mrobruche: Yorubas are known for scam and forgery prowess; remember 'Oluwole' that's notorious in producing fake certificates. Rememember, during the June 12 saga of 1990s, the Yoruba Obas sold Abiola and his mandate to Abacha for a mesh of porridge! Before the arrival of the colonial masters Yorubas were having deadly wrestling matches amongst themselves in the Kirijiri war. They were at logger-heads and refused to tolerate themselves. It was the the emergence of Nigeria that gave Yorubas respite. A number of Yorubas despise their kinsmen in Kwara State and call them Afonja (betrayers). Remember, in the1960s, immediately after Nigeria's independence, the SW region was aflame with Awolowo vs Akintola political fight which blossomed into the 'Operation Wetie' with great arson, maiming and wanton destruction of lives and properties. Akintola and Awolowo helped Yorubas channel the hatred they had for each other towards the Igbo. In Igbo hatred Yorubas were united and that was the purpose of the Yoruba Ronu speech by Akintola! If Yorubas are unfortunate to have their own country just watch them freely annihilate themselves with juju and rItalian practices. The Ijebus will claim to be richer and superior. Oyo muslims will want to sell the rest of them to their Northern masters. Human parts dealings and trading will most likely become a major GDP contributor in Oshogbo and Ibadan. Yorubas are just too scared of Nigeria's disintegration because they will lose their object of unity - The Igbo Nation. And being a tribe of anger, hate and propaganda, they would soon channel that hatred towards each other as in the days of old in the Kiriji wrestling match. |

Only a dumbass fool will remotely think that USA or UK will accept the passport of any country which they did not recognize even if the country has been recognized by the majority of the members of United Nation. One wonders why certain dumbass Nigerians are salivating over this alleged crap. |
