Good evening house. Please I need advices. I have a B.sc in Mathematics but passionate about the finance/accounting world. I would love to upgrade my qualifications to suit my passion but I'm confused on the path to toe. Should I go for an MBA or an Msc (finance)? With a 2:1 (Mathematics) and a few months post-NYSC working experience, will I be offered admission into any of these programmes? Thanks...

MSc finance and MBA are hot cake in Unilag. I didn't say you can't be admitted ooo. Check the requirements and study hard. I mean really hard. Why not consider MSc actuarial science. With B.Sc in Mathematics and MSc Actuarial, you will be fine.

how possible can one run a full time M.Sc in while working in another state.

Got the admission ( Elect Engr ( comm option) ) but got transferred to Benin this January...

Why not change to part time cos ordinarily running ft while working in lagos is a headache many. And to say benin, I don't see the visibility

Thanks for the advise, but I will still give the Msc Finance a shot. One more thing, need I write a new SSCE? The one I am using now has just science subjects and I didn't credit Economics in it. Thanks once again.

bro..i think since u have already have a good Bsc, all u need is a certification like ICAN, ACCA or CFA if u want a career in accounting/finance to start with(for entry level),...then along the line (with years of experience) u can acquire an MSC or MBA.

infact without ICAN, ACCA or CFA, you can't be a "charted" accountant or "chartered" financial analyst as the case may be.
