Accelerated hearing won. Case commences next week. Dss has just few days to;
1.) Prove that UN registered IPOB is actually an unlawful organization.
2.) Show the world the Amoured tanks, Mortar and bombs that Kanu actually bought ammunitions to threaten Buhari in Aso rock.
3.) That a radio transmitter is also Nuclear weapon.
4.) That calling Buhari a pedophile is 200% treason.
5.) Prove that a tax-paying Radio station in Britain is also an Atomic bomb.
6.) That Kanu's robust utilization of his right to freedom of association and expression will make Buhari crippled and push him out from Aso rock.
I wish DSS luck, their time starts now. tick tock tick tock. |

udokpuenyi: I doubt if a judge can make such a submission because Kanu is being charge for a crime (criminal law) and not offence (civil law), but if at all he made such comment he has already disqualified himself on the case for concluding a case he has not tried. Bros do not pay much mind to the products of psychotic brains on NL. |

Dedetwo: Per the bolded, I guess you meant USA. Anyway unlike the zoo called Nigeria, USA will not regard mere act of coughing as a treasonable offence. A broadcast message cannot be regarded as secret or ingredients of treason anywhere in the world but Nigeria. I guess Nigeria is highly afraid of disintegration. Don't fo0l yourself. Even in US where we are made to believe that their is freedom of speech, this is what happened to Robert Doggart (the man who merely threatened wipe out a muslim community but was arrested before he even started. On April 24, Doggart entered into a plea agreement, pleading guilty to one count of making threats via the phone, and he will be fined up to $250,000 and spend as much as five years in prison pending a judge’s approval of the deal. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/05/18/guess-why-this-christian-terrorist-plot-against-muslims-isn-t-getting-any-press.html Doggart was taken into custody in April and released on a bond of $30,000 to home detention in May. If convicted, he could receive a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, along with a $250,000 fine and three years of probation.
Bryan Hoss, Doggart's lawyer, said Social Security disability records show his client has depression and a personality disorder, but is not a danger. Hoss wrote that Doggart has no prior criminal record, according to court documents. http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/local/story/2015/jul/14/tennessee-mpleads-not-guilty-alleged-plot-kil/314465/ |

spanishkid: Nnamdi Kanu should be hanged as soon as possible. Treason is not a bailable offence. Nnamdi Kanu must be given a death sentence or life imprisonment. death sentence is better, life imprisonment will require us feeding him with tax payers money. |

Gbawe: Till the end, and till Kanu is convicted, people like you will never show decency to support what is right and condemn the lunatic. Most Yorubas I know don't give a toss about Kanu. Yet he made us the number one enemy of Igbos and tried to instigate the prohibition and killing of Yoruba religious leaders in Igboland. Kanu made it clear the Yorubas should be seen as virtually chickens to be slaughtered if necessary. Excuse me then if most Yorubas, the victims of his hateful tirade, have taken this personally especially in the face of the incriminating silence from Igbo leaders and the refusal, such as you and others have displayed here, to show that you unequivocally condemn the hate mongering of Kanu. Dude, you are your own biggest enemy. Don't drag Yorubas into this because we never asked Kanu to hinge successful secession on the premise of waging war against us the Yorubas. Deal with what Kanu started that some of you tacitly endorsed with your refusal to come out and condemn Kanu and unequivocally distance yourselves from him. Oba of Lagos we will never forget. |

GstringAngela: Treason is not a bailable offence. It is an offence that attracts capital punishment. The Court would cetainly sentence Nnamdi Kanu to death. He would be executed either by firing squad or by hanging. The FG might be magnanimous enough to pardon him and commute his sentence to life imprisonement or a very long jail term with hard labour.
All in all, Nnamdi Kanu is in a really deep shi't. He will regret the day of that meeting in Los Angeles, where he urged the ibos in diaspora to donate him money that would be used to buy guns and bullets for the purpose of waging war against Nigeria I like your wisdom. But you forgetting something here, remember he's not just a Nigerian Citizen, |

olatade: When I said Kanu and his supporters are ignorant of Nigerian constitution, I received insults from so many Biafrans. But I'm vindicated by the court. Treason is not a bailable offense in Nigerian law because it carries death sentence. All the insults and violent demonstrations will not save Kanu. Treason is limited to adhering to the enemy and giving them aid and comfort. The definition of aid and comfort is material aid, not just talk, and certainly not a knock-on effect from someone else quoting something that you say. It's not even treason to announce that you are a supporter of Daesh as long as you don't actually help them in any way. During World War II the United States was home to a number of Nazi sympathizers. None of them was charged with treason. |

ngmgeek: The fate of Nnamdi Kanu is tied on the ability of Igbo leaders and people to negotiate a plea deal on his behalf. What he is facing is a serious offense and anyone who hasn't come to terms with this fact is in total denial or ignorant of the law. If nothing is done quicker, Kanu will be convicted and may spend the rest of his life in jail.
The Igbo tribe is my tribe and I love my people without a doubt. Having stated that, the fact remains that the Igbo people generally don't have good leaders or representation and you see this every time, even in today's bail hearing for this young man. kanu and Ipob people think that this is a winnable case but a lot of Nigerians honestly don't think so.
I wish him and everyone luck. Quote or mention me in good faith only. The igbo nation need to learn more about Political diplomacy and they will be fine, even the northerners they feel has no brains understands this. |

datribune: d govt has more than enough evidence to put Kanu away. Apart of all his treasonable activities on radio biafra, just d YouTube video will do. I watched on YouTube in disbelief as many illustrious Igbo at d igbo world congress cautioned & warned him against commiting treason but he went on soliciting 4 guns & bullets to wage a war of violent secession against Nigeria. Anwar al-Awlaki, an American citizen was hunted down & killed WITHOUT ANY TRIAL 4 influencing radicals on d internet. That tells u dat national security nor be joke. Kanu's crime is not different frm Awlaki's. Even if he escapes d Al-Awlaki treatment, d dilector will be put away 4 a long long time. There ar no legal grounds 4 violent secession. Per the bolded, it is funny to discern treasonable offence from radio broadcast. I guess anything treasonable is considered secrecy. Nigeria is simply afraid of disintegration. |

One good thing is that the judge has ordered an accelerated hearing. Hopefully, when the facts of the case are heard, the case will be thrown out for lack of merit. Uwazuruike faced many treasonable charges in his time, he is walking around a free man today. |

Dedetwo: You are a typical Nigerian. No wonder things are not upright in the zoo. A secret phone call has become a radio broadcast. Simple reasoning is difficult for most of you. If the US (the chief Freedom of Speech crusader) can do that to someone over a "mere" phone call which was made to just one person (or just a couple of people if it was a conference call), what do you think they will do if the message was passed over the radio with much wider reach? God has given us brain but some people refuse to use it |
| Re: Court Denies Nnamdi Kanu Bail by Dedetwo(m): 3:38pm On Jan 29, 2016 |
Gbawe: Right now Britain is struggling with the terrifying reality of her own citizens going to join extremist terrorist groups to do unspeakable things. Condemnation of such development is very high in the UK currently and Britain would be called out for hypocrisy if seen to support Kanu's hateful incitement against Nigerians at a time the UK is trying to jail and prohibits more of her own domestic hate mongers . If you go abroad to preach hate then face the local consequences of your actions. That seems to be the message of the UK with their silence over Kanu. You cannot be condemning terror against your homeland and supporting such against others. Per the highlighted, this is illogicality only found in Nigeria. What has terrorism got to do with Nnamdi Kanu's peaceful agitation for an independent nation? |
| Re: Court Denies Nnamdi Kanu Bail by Pataki: 3:38pm On Jan 29, 2016 |
Nnamdi Kanu should not worry. The zoo he refers to, will adequately take care of his living and accommodation for a long time to come in his miserable life. |
