I am familiar with this area when I was growing up my grandparents had a house on ilaje road can't remember the name of the street too well but close to king Sunny ades house then the lagoon was visible from my grandparents house but when I visited recently and even wanted to buy a property at the end of community road boy o boy the amount was huge I was shocked cos most of those places that look so exotic now with nice buildings started like this and most people that stay in places like this can actually afford reasonable accommodation else where but I think it is cos of the proximity of the area to town and schools around there and many businesses that make people stay in such places lots of student stay there also workers some would rather stay here than go stay in a mansion at badagry or sango Ota when you know you have to be in unilag or yabatech as early as 8am everyday

i ve the map of bariga in my head cos i ve being there b4 and the op is not far from the truth picture of those living close to third mainland,i mean nearby water.
araromi,odunsi down,ilaje,ifesuwapo,obadiah down and ebute ilaje has these kind of photo portray by the op..
But there re good places in bariga area such as bariga street,ladi-lak,pedro area,osinfolarin,ajileye(king sunny ade rd),oremeji,obadiah and alhaja alake. All these places re motorable and it s a place to live codedly and peacefully.
but dont ever live close to the water side, it s very dangerous if you re not good in smoking with them. Those guys aint smilling.
Bariga is a home of Nice,tony tetula,olamide,i.d kabasa,lord of ajasa.

I grew up at gbagada so I kinda know much abt Bariga...the way he Painted Bariga was too bad....

i understand you,anyone that see the way the op painted bariga with bad picture will think the whole of bariga is like that.
But close to the waterside bro,the op is not far from the truth cos i ve being there in and out of such area. Those side looks very untidy and the worst of it all, people from all part of nigeria live there despite the wicked mosquitoes around there.

Lie lie OP, I'm not sure Olamide has ever stepped is feet or seen those places you posted up there, that's the outskirt of Bariga. Olamide na Ladi-lak boy and like someone said earlier dude is not that street, you can't grow up here and not have an atom of street in you, hence all those lines he drops in his music.

Dude even attended a private secondary school, and he's just a random average guy while growing up, he didn't grow up in any slum, his street has the best road around here sef, The immediate past LCDA chairman lives there

OP, this is not a true representation of Bariga. There are slums everywhere. You cant show Ilaje area and say thats how Bariga is.

I grew up in Bariga, Olorunkemi Street to be pricise n my street is not like this.

you are right though....Ilaje people are not from earth....there immune system is topnotched..

i think the General Hospital is Alot better compare to before
