My Steering Vibrate When I Brake Down by Nobody: 6:39am On Jan 26, 2016
My car is Pontiac vibe 2005 model, I noted that if am on motion be it 40 or 100 and i want to slow down and or stop, as i match my brake pedal my steering will vibrate. I took it to mechanic he said is brake rotors ie brake disc, i bought new one with new original brake pads and fixed still iit still vibrate. I took it back again he check my shocks and charge my both linkage still same thing. Now he asked me to change my brake caliber am afraid to do so. Please friends kindly help me with solutions to fixed it. Godbless you all.

It could also be bad tyre balancing.

From your description it may be your disc rotors, they may be warped.
Did you buy a used or new rotor? if used one, it may be bad as well.

Or go and do a wheel balancing and alignment

Do you feel pulse from the brake pedal? Does the car have disc or drums in the rear?

Op, same thing also happened to my car. We initially changed the brake pad and the brake disc, the problem persisted then we eventually changed the calibre.

I'm enjoying it now.

@ adanny i dont feel pulse from the brake pedal, just my steering that vibrates. the rear is drums not disc. And my mechanic said we should change the caliber but i refused till i get idea from this forum because i bought new rotor not used still same problem.

Yes, the thread starter's thread title was somewhat confusing. But, once you read his query, it's pretty easy to understand

Your comprehension and writing is even worse. The thread starter spelt "brake" correctly. In your haste to point out an error in the thread starter's title, you fail to realise that "brake" and "break" are very different words.
