did you use NIPOST? call the school, they might have gotten the parcel. i was in this mess too last Dec..sent 4 documents to 4schools, on the tracking website it was saying 'in ISC Newyork' I called the schools, it happend 2 schools got it within 3 weeks that I sent it and 2 schools didnt. so I had to send another doc via dhl to 2 schools that didnt get it. now that I saw your post I just remembered my doc sucked in isc and I tracked the 2. 1 just got delivered this year precisely Jan 26, 2016 since OCt 2015. the 2nd is still in transit. lol..my advise..just send another one with DHL after confirming that the recipient have not gotten it..its 8k and it takes just 3days

He got a 2 years visit visa in 2014 and to expire in June 2016. When he applied for the visa, he said he will spend a month in the US, and on getting to the US, he ended up spending 5 months before returned back to the US, and while he was there in the US, he applied to a school and he was offered an admission, he tried to change his status to F1 visa but when he didn't get a response for the change of status, and he was running to spend 6 months, he had to quickly return home so as not to stay out of status. however, during this period while in the US, he engaged in some menial jobs ( although no issues came up )
Now, his visa is due to expire in June 2016, he applied for a dropbox renewal last week, and unfortunately he was called to attend an interview at the embassy next week Monday.
I personally told him that, to me, he already has 4 offences; (1) that he spent 5 months during the visit instead of the intended 1 months, (2) that he tried to change his status from visiting to student visa, and (3) that he engaged in some menial job ( although the embassy might not figure that out ) and (4} that he tried to renew his visa 6 months before expiry and why such and urgency,n but items (1) and (2) above are my concerns
Now, what could he his fate at the interview with the above case?

What a drama!

Your friend might end up screwing up everything. It's illegal to work in the US under tourist visa. I don't know what he wants to achieve out there but one thing for sure is, he wants to remain in the States.

For me, I think his fate is 50-50 if he reapplies for B1/B2 visa but would be a different ball game if he could apply for F1 as the pointer will demonstrate he wants to study. Remember, he has records already.

If you are doing the right thing and it's giving you issues, then you have to contact your graduate school, nobody here can do anything about that. Does their system permit you to upload in pages or as a single document?

Also they require I submit all my documents online like my recommendation letters, SOP before I submit my application. And please do any one know where I can write GRE in ibadan.

submitting documents online before completing application is not an issue.....register online for GRE on the official website and check for available venues.(i don't know about Ibadan but Lagos venues yapa)

As regards the the recommendation letter they said they would send a link to the email of the people who will recommend me and they will fill and submit online. Who would you guys advise I use for the recommendations.

First find out if there are no specific instructions regarding the type of people you should get the recommendations from, if they don't, rule of thumb is at least one school related referee (doctor or prof.) and at least one work related referee.

Your lecturers should be your referees.

The only and best way is for you to re apply to that same school or another school and also try write an exam and get ready to tell VO what has changed since 2014 in your profile
