I am a resident also. Professional bodies have a strong hold in Osun too. I took classes for both ICAN and CIIN in Osun and it was way better than what Ibadan had to offer. Also putting into consideration light, water and the steady developing social life, Osun state pls. Ibadan is too expensive is all I'm saying. Even transportation is expensive.

Finally Oyo residents are talking. No offense to Osun state but Oyo state is head and shoulders above it. I have lived in both states. If you want leisure go to the cinemas. you want to shop head on to shoprite. If you want excitement find your way down to options night club, 411, tarmac just to mention a few. If you love nature, head to Ibadan zoo or agodi gardens. professional bodies like ICAN NIM CIPM MAN, NIESV have strong holds there. Financial institutions are so many, telecommunications companies are there, real estate firms are there, food making and beverage companies and a whole lot of human resource manager's setting up shop in oyo, just to mention a few. Osun state has got nothing on oyo..

That's a fact. I know an area in ibadan that have not seen power supply for 4 good years.. Just because some touts burned the power station during this subsidy strike

My point exactly. You have to put cost and standard of living into consideration too, not just social life and the likes.

Trust me, power supply in Osun is better than some places in Lagos. I lived in Osun for almost two years and i never had a generator, cause light was stable. We're comparing Osun and Oyo, you cannot even compare Lagos with Oyo and Osun. Everyone knows how good Lagos is. Not everybody wants Lagos btw, I know I don't.

You cannot survive with 19800. Its too expensive, traffic is terrible, its crowded and noisy, amongst others. And most schools reject people so you might not even get ppa in time. You'll spend over half of your allowance on transportation, other half on food.

i believe osun has villages too and not every1 would be posted to iwo, osogbo, ede, ife and ilesha. example of villages in osun are gbongan, ikirun, ile ogbo, ijebujesha, okuku, even dem ipetu ijesha, modakeke.
nb: i've been to almost everywhere in osun and i can say categorically that industry wise oyo is far better osun while ogun is better than oyo

I am talking frm experience, u need to hw expensive and difficult to secure accommodation even in ogbomosho let alone ibadan...an average CM wud suffer in those places for no reason watsoever. I knw alot of CM who served in ibadan nd had to return home after service year, so whr is the opportunity or career development?

Someone mentioned land mass of ibadan witout realising dat its d major reason for high cost of transportation.

There was a tym ma cousin had to leave ibadan for two seeks simply because he needed power to do something important.

In all ramifications, osun is a better place to serve or leave. Al the advantages in oyo equally contributes to its dsadvantages.

You'll get apartments for 80k at Oshogbo. If you're in Ede, which isn't doing bad either, you'll get apartments for as low as 30k. All the places I've been to in Oyo are very dry, other than the barracks. But at the end of the day, we all see things in different perspectives

you are talking abt olorunsogo power station abi, that place has been recommisioned and we've(as a resident) as far back as 2014
