Never ever let anyone, including your parents. dictate your life! You're a man now and you're the ONLY one who will choose the way to live your life.

I understand they want to protect you and that's what many parents do, but parents don't get it right all the time. Their reason is not genuine.

It doesn't matter she older than you or she has kids, what matters is that she loves you. Getting someone who truly loves you is hard nowadays. So don't lose the right person for you because of anyone. Remember, she can still have babies with you if you want. She's responsible and I believe she just want to be loved.

One thing you must know is that, marrying a younger woman or a woman who has no kids, doesn't in anyway guarantee a good marriage. That's a fact!

I married my school sweet-heart who is one year older than me and my family didn't care about her age. We're still happily married more than a decade.

So my friend, go with your heart. You're on the right path. Tell your parents politely, that you're a man enough to know what's good for you. That you understand they care so much about you, but if they want you to be happy, they should give you their blessing.

Try bring your woman close to your parents once in a while, they will definitely love her if she's a good woman.

It's your call.you're a young man and not experienced enough for all the hassle this might bring.
One thing I have come to realise is that our parents see far more than we can.
Take your time to evaluate this situation very well because love might not be enough sometimes.
Investigate why the father of her children left her you might just get some very useful info there.
I know of a single young man who married a single mother of one against the mother's advice.now he his not happy right now.though some might be luck but who really knows.
