Going forward, the president needs to appoint a very knowledgeable and trusted management or public accountant as his special assistant on budget. The SA budget and his team will help the president review the budget before it is presented to FEC for approval. If due diligence was carried out on this budget after it was compiled by the budget office, all this paddling, inflation and errors would have been detected and the president would have been spared of this national embarrassment.

Just like I suspected, you are not knowledgeable about the budget preparation process in Nigeria. I don't need wikipedia to explain this thing to me, I am a federal civil servant and I understand the system very well. Budget office was under the finance ministry previously under OBJ, Yar'adua and Jonathan. Under Buhari, it was removed and moved to the newly created Ministry of budget and national planning. The final compilation of the budget is the responsibility of the budget office under the supervision of ministry of budget and national planning. This has nothing to do with tribe. Stop the unnecessary tribal hating and apportion blame to the appropriate quarters.
