Akure is such a joke when it comes to this power issue.

In Isinkan side of Ondo road, Akure, we have supply for 1or 2 hours in a day. The whole of the southern senatorial area of Ondo state like Okitipupa, Irele, Igbokoda, Igbotako, Ilutitun etc, etc have not tasted public power supply since the last 2 year. BEDC come and assist.

In those 2 years , these people must have donated money that is enough to light Nigeria to their pastors.

Some say its been over two years they tasted the sweetness of light. Akure electricity is very bad. FUTA area is. Worst!! I seriously hate akure right now. Infact it sucks to be in akure.

This is so sad to learn about .
There cannot be any development under this type of circumstance .
Development here means not just infractructural but also human . I wonder how the children/youths there have been performing academically .

This is has made them so disadvantaged intellectually I believe .

Getting the affected communities electricity should be sorted out urgently .

Affirmative... Lately in school, the electricity supply hasn't been good too unlike what it used to be. Everything about Akure just worst.

Same thing we are going through in Satellite Town, oriade, Lagos. The worst is that here nobody cares both tenants and landlords. People are suffering and smiling here. They only flash the light for some minutes whenever they are sharing bills or coming for disconnection. So terrible

When it was 2800mw , we deg see light for my area for logos but now wet e don increase to 5000mw , we no deg see light again,

Always bored every time I travel to Akure.The city is so dry.
Social life is zero,except some bars that runs mainly on generator.

Its true. Power is sooooooooooo poor in Akure. FUTA area is very bad. From Orita Obele to North Gate . . All extremely poor.



I stay off campus @ Ilara-Mokin. Probably because its a small 'village' and has a radio station and one of the best golf courses in West Africa, a private university, THE LIGHT HERE IS BETTER. Right now, there is electricity. Anytime they wll bring it, it'd be long. Sometimes, 18 hours out of 24hrs. I have vowed not to move to Akure till I leave FUTA.







Akure, how beautiful it is, has poor power supply.
