Ha ha hs. Jonathan is the CAUSE of the whole problem we have today. Only brain dead young people who were brought up under PDP educationsl policies would say they want him back. Go and play back all Jonathan interview videos, the man is completely BLANK in economics.. I have also studied the mans activities before ge becane president. Everything came up ZERO. He was not a social reformer, not an activist, not one article in the newspapers. NOTHING.
After President the only good thing i can say he had is the ability to give a free hand to people better than him to work - like Ikonjo, Aganga, Adesina and Mobola Johnson. All these ministers were imposed on him by Obj and Western powers. Rating Jonathan on his own he did not have Strong convictions of Buhari or the ideas of a Murray Bruce or the execution fkair of Fashola. When prople over hype Jobathan they are insulting themselves

Some people are simply too dumb or too emotional to accept the truth. This is just fact. Had we diversified our economy, the effect of the plunge in oil price would have been this drastic. Even bigger economies than Naija who are dependent on oil export are feeling the heat.

Here, PDP supporters are overly excited not realising the failure is attributable to the failure of their party over the years, especially in the last six years where oil sold for record prices but no buffers were put in place to bolster the strength of our currency in an event there's a fall in the price of crude.

Rather, they turned the dollar to their preferred medium of exchange, using it to buy everyday goods, pay for services, finance campaigns, and bribe people- the naira was ditched like an unfaithful girlfriend. Today, the same people responsible for the mess are those Wailing the most. cheesy

I hope it hits N1000 mark, then we'd see how much more excited they would get. wink

Keep deceiving yourself. What stops Buhari from diversifying the economy through true federalism

True federalism will diversify the economy?
It is Buharis job to implement true federalism?
This country definitely has IQ problems. Just throw in a big word and everything will be okay abi? .
Where is it written in the constitution that it is the Presudents job to implement true federalism,. It is nobody's job.
However everything connected to administrative structure starts in the Nationsk Assembly. It is they who kick start constitution ammendments that lead to revenue allocation and what should be doing versus what federal government shoukd be doing.

There is already sone fiscal federalism now. All payee taxes go to states. They can also levy all nanner of taxes of any kind.

Mineral rights belong to the Federak government but States can firn companies to develop any mineral resource including oil as JV with the FG and pay taxes and royalties to the FG . Bayelsa can hace its own Shell. The problem is people dobt use their brsins during voting. There are many things that states have the power to do that they are not doing. If you give Bayelsa State to Murray Vruce who has run organizations before you will get a result, if you give it to Mama Peace because if atavustic local brained sentiments you get a different result .

Buhari is not both, but he can sit his emaciated ass down in Abuja and do some work for once, and stop travelling all over the World while our country burns economically.
He can appoint an expert to run our economy, and not try to inject his semi-illiterate ideas and principles on how the economy is run.

I am not a Buhari defender or APC stooge. He is visionless as far as I am concerned and only seems to be preoccupied with corruption and boko haram. There is more to running a complex country like ours.

He isn't laying out an economic vision backed by concrete reforms and he isn't pressuring NASS to pass laws that will make trade and investments easier. Buhari IMO is a glorified IG of police with commander in chief responsibilities.

I care for my family and not aligned by tribe or political party.

Do you people really believe this?? How was Jonathan better

Don't be surprised, some actually do. Venezuela devalued their currency of recent, that's to tell you how much of a hit some other economies aside from Nigeria are taking from the drop in oil price.

These guys, I have come to observe get so emotional and intolerant whenever references are made to the past admin. I've to admit , I'm beginning to enjoy their restlessness.

For those who care to know, Russia, Saudi Arabia and some others are planning on freezing crude production at the January levels to curb the glut in d market. Now, the question is, why? If they're unaffected by the plunge in the price of the product.

Thank you, I share your concern for our families in Nigeria. I had hoped that somehow Buhari, would turn out to be better and different from his 1984 outfit, but the reality is that you can't teach an old dog a new trick.

Stop the lies.

It was Ameachi which led the Governors who demanded GEJ and NOI release the reserve funds.

Then the foolish idiot spent most of the funds on property and funding APC Buhari presidential campaign.

You want the reserves? You got then in the form of Buhari.

Enjoy.

I love this response.. The ones talking about reserves should hold Buhari, Amaechi, Fashola, Okorocha, etc responsible...

A serious minded individual/president interested in economic diversification will not have budgeted more for Ministry of Misinformation (only under APC) than for that of Ministry of Agriculture, which seems to be the next best thing, in this our present economic troubles. This shows that APC/Buhari lacks vision, direction and tact...
