Sometime ago,I was in a federal govt agency for some services. A particular igbo woman was busy attending endlessly to the numerous crowd that were there while another colleague of hers,a 'hajia' in hijab was just showing up and disappearing without sitting down to attend to us. I turned to the igbo woman and asked her if the hajia wasn't employed to do the same job cos some of us needed her to sit down to help reduce the queue. The igbo woman answered "they are the rulers of this place,they are above the law,if I try being that lazy,I will be sacked. I still have children in school".
In a federal govt agency?
This is obtainable across the nation. Once a sector becomes very profitable,instead of employing good hands to help it grow,they will send in their semi illiterate brothers to go milk it dry. And that's how a laudable sector will become a failure and the nation will be the loser at the end

The House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions has threatened to order the arrest of the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Col. Hameed Ali (retd.).

The Federal Lawmakers, on Wednesday, said it would be forced to take such an action should the Customs Boss continue to refuse to honour an invitation to appear before lawmakers.

The committee is investigating Ali over a petition alleging the occurrence of ‘lopsided’ promotions and posting of personnel within the Customs.

The petition, which was sent to the House by the Ohanaeze Youth Vanguard, alleged that the abnormal promotions and posting commenced after Ali assumed leadership of the Nigeria Customs Service, in 2015.

Nigerians has all ryts to stand up 4 dere ryts b4 constituted authorities.If this man is trying by any means to dent president Buhari's administration by any stance,He should be retrenched of his appointments if he wud not imbibe the pressidential and democratic spirit which shud denote equity and justice.
According to the President of the Ohanaeze Youth Vanguard, Igweka Okonkwo, the Customs boss had ignored many officers from the South East when approving promotions and posting of personnel in 2015 when he took over the mantle of leadership.

Chairman of the committee, Uzoma Nkem-Abonta, lamented the fact that Ali had repeatedly failed to honour several invitations sent to him by the committee in respect of the pending petition.

Nkem-Abonta said: “We have invited him repeatedly and he has been giving excuses. This is not a military era. He has now been summoned to appear before the House on March 9. If he doesn’t show up, a warrant will be issued for him to appear here.”

Speaking further, he described Ali’s conduct as being insensitive to the complaints lodged by aggrieved Nigerians.

“These are Nigerians who have complained to us and it is our duty to address the issue,” he added.

As long as they're within this geographical space, they will continue to press for fairness and equity. If the Nigerian government were smart enough, it should be pursuing the way of equity and fairness; that will only give the Biafran agitators reasons to have some faith in this nation.

Don't mind those bigots. They always say things like "God bless Nigeria" and "Nigeria will be great again", knowing fully well that Nigeria will never get better because they support nepotism, tribal bigotry, religious bias, etc. Even if a man they believe will perform well is from SE, just because he's from SE, they prefer one without educational background from any region takes the post and passes the money embezzled down to them then the SE guy.

Their reasoning gives me a lot of headache. It's either to don't take the pains to follow current event trends or they don't study their history books.

Given their primitive mindset, there's NO WAY Nigeria will ever attain anything remotely close to greatness or prosperity. We keep deceiving ourselves. As long as a people are within Nigeria, it's just common sense that they will keep pursuing their own goals of equity and fairness. Unfortunately, it's too hard for them.

What baffles me most is why they hate the Igbos so much but sill accuse the Igbos of seeking their way out of this country. Blacks.
