You can't go beyond Msc with a 3rd class. Go figure

Bro, in Nigeria schools dey will alow u to still undergo Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) before considering u de de chanc of getting it I some how slim compares to outside country, whre it easy.

Some schools have waiver.... But thats the statutory procedure.

Wrong info, 2.2 do not have to do PGD for masters. He may not have admission in some first class uni abroad but most university will consider for direct master.

2-2 doesn't require a pgd.....u can go for ur masters in any university in Nigeria....but you will need pgd abroad cos d cut off cgpa is 3.0.......Godspeed.

Don't let anyone confuse u. U can do ur master in ur desired field with that CGPA. Even prestigious UI and Unilag will take it. It might only be difficult if the schools u plan to do it is of Cambridge, MIT and Oxford standard else, many UK and US university will surely offer u admission.

My HOD when I was in school came out with a second class: lower division. He was already an associate professor (reader) when I left. First Class and 2:1 are seriously overrated in Nigeria. First class just displays your ability to cram your brain with crude lecture notes

MY BROTHER GRADUATED WITH 2.57 AND HE DID HIS M.SC IN UNILAG.

I MADE 2.2 (2.99) AND I APPLIED OUTSIDE FOR M.SC. OIL AND GAS ENGINEERING. I WAS GIVEN MY OFFER WITHOUT STRESS.

Don't let them discourage you guy. Most uni here accept 2.5 and above except for some courses, the most important thing is to scale through their qualifying exams and after that you're good to go. Unilag is an example.
