Nigerians are a problem unto themselves.
What I understand from the rant of the so called evangelist is that because Buhari is president everyone must say yes to whatever he says, everyone must fall to the ground and worship him. It's so unfortunate coming from a former governor who should know better.
Perhaps Mr Evangelist forgets that one of the key element of democracy is the safeguard of fundamental human rights which of course includes the right to free speech. Fayose hate him or love him is only exercising that right and I think we will suffer if all have to obey the president sheepishly like this guy wants.
Come to think of it, why didn't Mr evangelist remind the likes of Bisi Akande and Fashola that Yoruba are supposed to respect the president?
Why didn't any northerner remind El-rufai to respect Jonathan when he was president?
I see this as a well orchestrated plan to shut out opposition, gag free speech but mehn e no go work.

Insult on Gov. Fayose Ayodele as the governor of Ekiti state, is an insult on the entirety of the Ekiti people. The difference between Governor Fayose Ayodele and Lai Mohammed as opposition, was that, one was as bold as a lion and the other was a liar and coward.

Fayose simply does not know the difference between political opposition, and insulting an institution.
I'm not surprised, if he could insult his diaper-wearing mother, who else wouldn't he insult?
Fayose is a disgrace.
He's not well raised.

One thing I don't understand about some Yoruba people. If any of them follow a different path and doesn't follow what others follow, they tag him " not proper Yoruba, omale, lack Yoruba training, has taken bribe".

Yoruba is a massive tribe and it's even in Yoruba interest to promote diversity of opinion and not all running in same direction every time.

If all Yoruba were PDP and all praising GEJ, there might be no APC government now.

I may not like APC's government & the lies they told to get to power, but at least we now know that one party cannot just remain in power forever. It can be voted out. That alone is a good thing.

This respect for elders, even corrupt and erring ones no matter what means that old out-dated politicians keep leading us astray in 9ja.

There's a world of difference between criticism and insult/abuse. Fayose and his followers do not know this.
For instance, if I say, Fayose is not doing well by focusing on stomach infrastructure. That's criticism.
But if I say, Fayose is a rogue, thug, or tout; judging by his upbringing or way of life or his pedigree; even though, it's the truth, that's an abuse or insult on him.
Criticism is not about insulting people. We have seen fiery critics in Nigeria. Critics like Tai Sholarin, Gani Fawehinmi, Tunde Bakare, Femi Falana, Wole Soyinka, etc. They criticized military rule in Nigeria consistently until we embraced democracy.
And to say Fayose is bold is a mere balderdash. Fayose has not meaningfully criticized Buhari's government. He's been busy seeking media attention, and insulting personalities. Those of us who know him, back home ; and know his pedigree, are not surprised anyway.

Our training instructs us to be respectful to Elders and leaders but when a Elder or leader violates the honour accorded to his age or position there is nothing wrong using him to mop the dirty floor.

GEJ dishonored the seat of power, we really should have said worse but out of love for those who occuppied the seat before him. We said worse of Abacha and showed our hatred for him even when alive far worse than we did GEJ.
