GTFOH - who the fvck is IBB? You mean someone owns $8 billion out of a next man's net worth that grew over the years from less than a billion, to almost $10 billion now?

You sound bitter. Too bad ya Igbo folks don't have the same business IQ for incremental growth in net worth when it comes to flipping, apart from making noise everywhere and chest beating. I'd rather put my money in a fixed deposit account than invest in an Igbo man - FACT. grin

All ya Igbo folks who made a lot of looted money during GEJ's era especially via waivers and theft are soon going to be broke again. However, the Yoruba ones would end up turning the money into wealth. That's the difference between the business IQ of a Yoruba man and an Igbo noise making trader. grin

No problem bro. But we are talking real businessmen here, NOT co*ck suckers. Though I would agree with you that Adenuga is a shrewd businessman. He managed and invested the money he got very well. As for Alakija,now that Miriam IBB is dead, she is 'home free'. She's got to be the luckiest tailor and hairdresser in the world. Forbes list my azz.

I laugh at your ignorance, Everything in Igboland is decentralised and tends towards the center. Igbos have Forbes billionaires and the highest number of Forbes multi millionaires. OP decide to stop at five for a mischievious reason. check out this pic

Really? Then you should laugh at yourself because you're truly the ignorant one in this case. You need to stop being delusional and get your head out of the fables you're living in. I'm feeling generous right now, so let me educate you a bit. The Forbes reference you made actually refers to company net worth as per company assets, not personal net worth, which is what we're dealing with here. Cosmas Maduka isn't a dollar billionaire, let that reality sink in okay. I wonder why people like you just think you can concoct imaginary figures and statistics from thin air and people owe you validation that you're accurate. Forbes is arguably the most internationally acclaimed credible provider of global wealth statistics or indices cut across different categories. Here's the list of 50 Richest Africans, in terms of personal net worth; and the first ibo man on that list is #31 Tony Elumelu, and even he isn't a $billionaire...yet. So, don't even dare talk of Cosmas Maduka. He might be a billionaire in naira, but he's not a dollar billionaire, or even anywhere close to it. The pure water seller still has a very long way to go to achieve such a feat.

But the biggest c*ck suckers are Igbos, yet none has been able to use it for anything of note apart from noise making. Doesn't that tell you something about the business IQ of the average Igbo person?

When it comes to business: the comparison between Igbos and Yorubas is similar of Pakistanis vs Indians. When it comes to low IQ business like trading, with corner shops on ever street corner - Pakistanis dominate. However, once you shift the IQ a notch higher to medium/high scale business...Indians are the kings. You just can't compare the two groups, it is not about making noise - it is about the numbers and numbers don't lie.

REGIONAL AVERAGES
1 = South West - 19.3% Poverty (+ Average)
2 = South South - 25.2% Poverty (+ Average)
3 = South East - 27.36% Poverty (+ Average)

----------------------------------------------------------------------
** National Avg 46.0%% Poverty

4 = North Central - 45.7% Poverty (+Average)
5 = North East - 76.8% Poverty (- Average)
6 = North West- 80.9% Poverty (- Average) Damn!! shocked

Sources
The Global Multidimensional Poverty Index by the U.N
http://www.dataforall.org/dashboard/ophi/index.php/

THIS IS FROM WORLD BANK
The NER also documents major differences in poverty and living standards by macro-region in Nigeria. While the South of Nigeria has relatively low poverty rates, ranging from 16% in the South West to 28.8% in the South East, poverty rates in the North West and North East are 45.9% and 50.2%, respectively. While the South of Nigeria (especially the South West) has experienced a strong positive dynamic in poverty reduction in recent years, the poverty rate in the North West has remained stagnant, while poverty has actually increased in the North East. Thus, disparities between the North (North West, North East) and South of Nigeria in poverty and living standards have increased. This is no doubt related to the recent security challenges in the Northern part of Nigeria. Explanatory factors for the high differences in living standards by geographical region are likely related to differences in the provision of public services and the degree of connectedness to larger markets.

NER MEANS NIGERIA ECONOMIC REPORT..maybe it is a Yoruba man that owns it...

THIS IS FROM NBS

Poverty was least dominant in the Southwest (49.8%), South-South (55.5%), and South-East regions (59.5%).

My dear, to spend unnecessarily, is one tin we can't help.

You know why? I will go a bit personal to you.

Last year, I carried my contribution in my office. I kept it in bank. I was determined not to touch it. But, alas, life have another plan for me, my kid sister fell seriously ill, we kept carrying her around from hospital to hospital.

And, that was how all that my savings went. I have to start all over this year again.

So, you see, is not easy.

You're not ready to be wealthy, to be wealthy you need to make certain decisions, care not about what comes your way after making your plans.

Write your plans down, go for it, any other thing that comes after laying your plans shouldn't matter, treat it like if you don't have it the problem will be solved somehow. You're not the only in that family. Time to make decision with your head and not emotions.

If this year savings another thing shows up,will you spend it again? And start another year another thing shows up and you get emotional and spend it again and so on, when do you want to make it?

The truth is those who make it make certain decision,you might think they are wicked but belive somethings we need to be tough to have it.

ONE: They are risk takers. Many job seekers are scared of taking risk, especially financial risk.

They have failed more often than you can imagine.

They think BIG

they are dreaded go getters. They hate salary jobs with passion and prefer to determine their time.

So many things set them apart and they know something you don't know.

What is "legit and traceable" within the Nigerian context. Any thief can list his company on the stock exchange, then hold on to 98% of the shares and get listed by Forbes.

If you have to announce your wealth, then you are not that wealthy. People with real money don't make their own noise, when have you seen anyone on that list telling the world they have N500b in assets? Forbes calculate wealth based on assets, outstanding debts, shares in pubic companies, comparison with similar companies in the case of private companies, verifiable, interviews with employees, public records and legitimacy of earnings (which is why they won't list many of the people who have looted our country)

For all the noise Ifeanyi Ubah makes and his much touted 35% of the downstream sector, he would have come to the attention of Forbes. For a man who likes to brag, if he isn't listed it's because they do not believe or cannot cerify that he is a billionaire or at least a billionaire by legitimate means.

The thing is, when you say he has 500bn naira assets, you are saying he has over $1bill assets!!! Lets do a comparison with femi otedola whose Forte Oil has hundreds of stations, who is known as the diesel king and has choice real estate assets all over barely made the $1bill mark. People like oba otudeko and cosmas maduka, tony elumelu, jim ovia, etc are not even hitting the 1bill dollar mark!

Talking about numbers. On average, which group of people have the highest number of millionaires in Nigeria?. It's not about having one man on Forbes list and 20 million men on the Ojuelegba/Obalende agbero list.
What makes a people rich is the spread.

I didn't say he has 500b in assets, I dount the man is worth more than $200m net from legitimate operations, he is the one who said he has 500b in assets. What he didnt tell you is how much he is owing the banks (or Maduka or Amcon). Like i said people with real money dont brag about it. Dangote, Otedola, dont drive around in a convoy and police escorts, Fashola didnt go around blowing his siren because he knows he is the governor, you will find that it is the guy who was appointed special assistant to the governor (not even special adviser) that you will find with a convoy and siren in traffic. So next time you see someone in traffic blowing his siren in a convoy of vehicles, you know this is someone without REAL money or real power. Real money and real power has no need to brag. I can stake my life on it that Ifeanyi Ubah isn't worth anywhere near N500b he claims because when you get to that level of wealth you dont brag about it. A beautiful woman doesn't brag about her beauty because she knows she is beautiful. it's a classic mistake people make, the more you feel the need to shout/brag the less you really have or at the very least the more you tell the world about your insecurities.
