Yes nobody is above the law, NOBODY, but there are some circumstances that you will have to give some leverages.
As a former military head of state, and a civilian president, Obasanjo seserves some leverage and respect.
It is in the report that he called Fashola and pleaded...come-on, the matter shouldn't have degenerated to this level, Fashola should have told OBJ to warn his boys when they come to Lagos.
The 2 are wrong, but I put more blame on Fashola, he's being undiplomatic and power drunk.
He should remember that one day he won't be a governor anymore.
30,000 fine shouldn't be a big problem for OBJ...but the leverage he deserves can't be overlooked.

Nigerian elders like obj are nothing short of babies,mentally.And i think what fashola is trying to do is to teach them the concept of responsibilities,without having to flog them with koboko like the present crude teachers do to thier present pupils who they will end up turning to adults like obj with the subjective and brutal teaching.

Fashola also contravain the traffic law becouse he drove through BRT road along IKORODU ROAD on a faithfull day like that. I saw him when we are in the traffic they drove to avart traffic conjection that day. What can we do to that? Latsma saw him without any action. May God help us in this country

The way nigerians think and talk is a clear reflection of why it would be difficult for us to make head way in this country. The law is for all citizens and OBJ is also like every other nigerian. As an ex head of state he should have just paid the fine and even dismiss the driver for violating traffic rules in the first place. So because OBJ farms is written on a vehicle then the driver can do what ever he likes abi? If a military officer can be stopped by fashola then why on earth can't that vehicle be impounded more over OBJ wasn't in it and even if he was.

If u know the enormity of powers of a governor in Nigeria, u will know that if only Ogun state governor should take on OBJ, he will literally go on exile from the state. Only a SITTING president, under the present arrangement is more powerful. don't be deceived.

Fashola may ignore him for now among many reasons which includes the running battle with okada people which will surely fizzle out in maximum of a fortnight, so he may not want to take on two "powers" at same time. But remember he can always come to take on OBJ at his own time. Mistake many of u r making here is thinking that Fashola is the underdog, whereas OBJ really is! Fashola will dictate the scale, venue, time, umpire and strategy of the fight if he chooses to tango with OBJ on this matter. There r one-thousand-and-one ways of him slapping OBJ down on ds area-father misdemeanor.
