In form westbrom?? The team couldn't play ground ball and resorted to high balls cos of the deficiency in our defence, even at that, their tactics didn't work. When they played against 10 men, they were even more clueless on how to use the opportunity. With Mata on the pitch, we would have won not even draw, Mata blew our chances.

Liverpools red card was in the 2nd half too, man utd played against 10 men for almost 60minutes.

firstly are you familiar with tony pulis brand of football ?
I never saw the Watford game but from all report we didn't do well at all and Mata was anonymous aside from the free kick.
pool was one goal down prior to copping that red which is even more impressive
west brom don win there last two or three games coming into this game.

Schneirderlin and Herrera are our best midfield combination. Blind should be relieved permanently of his defensive duties. He should only fill in there in times of crisis like Carrick does. Varela should continue in right back for now. Darmian has no attacking flair.

I agree with afrodoc2, on removing these lackadaisical idióts from the team, who play like there's nothing at stake.
I mean, the closer we seem to be to his preferred 11, the worse we become.
Expect to see Fellaini become a main stay when he becomes match fit.
Top 4 is gone.
Liverpool are probably even going to finish above us.

Let’s stay on the right track despite this blot

Hi everyone,
After almost 500 games as a professional player, this Sunday I was sent off for the first time in my career. As you can imagine, it’s not easy for me to write these lines. The truth is this is a new and strange situation for me, not easy to assimilate, but we learn from everything. I know that, in football, we see things like these every week, but obviously what hurts more is that my team-mates had to fight with ten men for a long time. I have the feeling that both decisions were rigorous; that, in many occasions, we see more serious fouls that are not penalised in such a way, but at the same time I could have avoided them and I take responsibility. It also leaves me with a bad taste for the supporters who travelled to the stadium, and for those who were watching the game from home, but I must carry on as always and from now on I’m already focused on the next game, the derby against Liverpool in the Europa League. In this sport there’s no time for celebrations or moaning, and after last Wednesday’s joy for the win and the goal against Watford, now I have to go through a more bitter experience. That’s the way it is. What matters is to move forward and to always learn from each situation. And so I will.

The team was in a good shape. I hope this blot won’t make us forget that we were on the right track, and that we have to keep believing in ourselves to achieve the goals that are still in our minds from now until the end of the season.

That’s it for today. I take responsibility in the good and the bad moments, as I’ve always done and I will always do. Thank you very much for your support.

PS: I’d like to give my condolences to the family and friends of Gaspar Rosety, who sadly passed away this weekend. He was a journalist who made many football fans vibrate with his voice, and he always had words of affection for me. RIP.

i wouldn't really blame juan mata for what happened yesterday. on to the next match jor! no time to moan.

i hope the team will muster the courage and strenght to beat liverpool on thursday. though to be honest,i am not so confident about our match against them,cos liverpool.are in a rich vain of form at the moment and they were able to banish their selhurst park ghost after almost five tries and they are brimming with confidence.

If we even agree the first card was right for Mata's carelessness, how can he penalize the second knowing well that Mata halted his returning foot @ standing position?
An impartial ref will give a foul & that's it, more so that early in the game & the first booking was nothing malicious not even a tackle.

LvG tho is the bigger idiota. I shiver whenever he's about to make a substitution!

What a manager

I have disliked Mike Dean since 2011/2012. Every time he went out to officiate City's game there was always a controversial decision that led to a goal or penalty in favour of City. Some late decisions and sometimes involving Balotelli.

He harshly sent Fabio off against Swansea in an FA cup fixture under Moyes. Fabio just came on as substitute at 1-1 then he gave him a red card in virtually his action of the game. Then Swansea scored a winner.

He led the referee team that allowed Drogba clear offiside goal in April 2010 that ultimately decided the season. There are some more from that yeye Dean.

Clattenburg's own is that no player should get him angry, else he will ruin the day for the entire team. Penalties and red cards will be going against that team. He has a hot temper.

So we want to start blaming refs now abi?? Four straight wins and some of us don forget say we are still shît and that LVG is still the manager?? Abeg jare.....

just as adelana1 said,blaming the ref for our loss against westbrom is just meaningless and useless. yes,maybe the red card was harsh; maybe mike dean,mark clattenburg and co. really hate us as a club. but come on! we are the architect of our own misfortune.

this three points we fail to get against westbrom that most of us are crying and moaning over wouldn't be a big deal if we had won all our winnable games earlier in the season,most especially all our home games and some of those away games we had a good record of winning.



but instead we conspire to blow away those precious 3 points and now we are crying and moaning about refs being against us.

Varela ought to have continued. Gaal will succeed in killing his confidence soon. I even thought he might keep Valencia on the bench if he kept going.

Gaal doesn't know how to read players. Someone is showing great attacking potentials and you dropped him. Our right wing has been dead for some months now, but Varela's presence there has been wonderful. I also like the fact that he doesn't need to get to the byline to deliver a decent cross.

Valencia, who could make tomorrow's bench, and Bastian are back. Lots of players coming back this month.

Irrelevant as far as am concerned. Even with every player fully fit this Gaal will find a way to fvck things up either with selection, formation, substitution and philosophy. We end up winning 3games, drawing 3games and losing 3games in our remaining fixtures.

Carrick should really retire, as he's very often a burden to the midfield.

Rashford didn't start over Lingard, they were both in the starting line up. It was Memphis that lost out.
