Very soon, it will become clear that both parties in this matter are just playing a game; a game of chess.

Saraki is too big to go down like that. Too many powerful people are invested in him and they don't want him to lose

Then let him pass the budget, we are not bothered with his trial

He has no other option than to pass the budget. Budget approval would not make any difference. The Govt is just waiting for him and Nigerians are waiting for budget to be approved by NASS. The blackmail from Government after 17 March will be the NASS has not passed the budget hence, money can't spent. Should he play for delay then party will come hard on him and he will collapse. Today is 30 senators, including Senator "come sense". The number is gradually coming down. Maybe next time will be 10.
My Brother, life is simple but we Nigerians tends to complicate things for ourselves. A budget riddled with mistakes, denied by it's ministers and given vote of no confidence by Nigerians should never be given official seal to be smuggled through!

We should start cultivating the attitude of doing the right thing in the spirit of change. That all these is going on under the mantra of change is shameful to say the least.

Saraki should for once stand for that which is right and refuse to be bullied by his own party or Mr President only then will he earn the Respect of True lovers of Nigeria even if it lands him in jail he would be a hero and earn my Respect.

This case will be swept under d carpet, depending on how Saraki plays his cards.

Though I may be wrong, but I think this trial is just to put Saraki in check because of his perceived romance with d opposition. Hence, I think d case will last 4eva.

If he tries to work against his party at any point in time, it (d case) will consume him.

Just my own theory.

that is why we have a senate to scrutinize and approve the budget, the padding thing have been there for ages and pdp was covering it by settling the senators. Its because this time there was no one to settle the senators, that's why the issue came out. Saraki should stop playing politics with the budget with his cct trial cos he's only postponing the evil day.
If according to you the Senate is getting things right for the first time in our recent history, Is it not the case that a padded discredited budget should be sent to the bin by the Senate while the people responsible for such monumental national embarrassment summoned to appear before the Senate?

Which is better---being bullied to approve a discredited budget that has lost the confidence of Nigerians or the old ways of ghana must go bags?
Non of them is tenable in this era of change.

Why is it that these people are fond of supporting corruption?

Stealer Oduah still has an existing corruption case with the EFCC and yet she is aligning herself with a SP that is not even a member of her party.

Where are my people supporting corruption? The other day, thousands of Igbo men came out to support Saraki, a SP that has lost all credibility.

you guys plan will not work as you are waiting for the budget to be finally discredited to give pdp some mileage, the senate is not getting anything right but playing politics to ridicule the Executive cos of the heavy presence of the pdp in the senate. Let Saraki dare the executiive and not pass the budget, he will then have to tell the whole world which party he belongs to.

Saraki standing for what is right? I laugh in spanish, if he was and has been standing for what is right, there will be no cct trial. Saraki is the bully here and have been bullying the leadership of his party.

Sixty five (65) lawyers? This is not surprising because thousands of them will even be ready to represent an Armed Robber provided they will be handsomely paid but the source of such money means nothing to them. The Judge should be careful & not allow himself to be intimidated by those criminals called #LIARS 'coz Nigeria is interested in this case.
