Good morning dear mamas , my Wife was given metformin to help grow her eggs . When I check online metformin is for diabetes patients .
She as done her HSG and everything was fine. She is on Fertilaid and ovaboost. Want to know if anyone as taken metformin ?

it's the local herbal concoction.since I started,I dumped my folic acid and vitamin e.Dunno if they all can go together

There's always a chance of multiples when Ovulation stimulation is done. There's also a chance of Singleton. All na God. But the highest you hear for an iui is triplets. All the six and sevens happens with IVF. Just pray about what you want. Praying for a successful iui and a healthy pregnancy.

Metformin (Glucophage) is originally a drug used for diabetics but is also used as a treatment for women that have PCOS. it helps in treating insulin resistance, overweight / weight gain and Ovulation issues. Perhaps your wife has PCOS hence the prescription. A lot of women have conceived on Metformin. Her supplement combo for Egg quality is great.

Morning People, Trust you are all doing great? I have had one blighted ovum and one miscarriage in the space of one year of trying to conceive, after my last evacuation which was in October, i haven't missed my period and am very worried and confused but my doctor kept on saying that i should wait for 6months before conduction test/examination and he kept on assuring me that i don't have a problem because i have been conceiving without help.

I don't know if anyone has been in this situation before, kindly advice....................

My dear if money is not a problem, I'll suggest you go to a lab to get tests and scan done, if not for anything for your peace of mind. I understand where your dr is coming from but then, secondary infertility is real too. Fertility issues can start at anytime. I once had a chemical pregnancy that left debris in my uterus, had I not gone for a scan and detected it, I wouldn't have known about it. So just get peace of mind and above all, pray and trust in God. That's my humble opinion. Take care and God Bless.

I feel im obliged to share what I did differently this month- I ate pineapple core for 6 days after ovulation cos I heard it helps with implantation. Then I stayed away from Udara / Agbalumo, cos I heard its very acidic and I ate it a lot Dec nd Jan.
