Their prices are more my dear. As in very very. However since you don't wanna go round the market, it's ok. The round the market self is not a long distance oo. Cos for me I wasn't stressed because the market is in a street (talking of the one I visited). All I did was two to three price and quality sampling and I get wetin I want once I see it reasonable.

If you have someone to drive you, then someone to follow you to the market and all you do is buy and the person pack and follow you then it's good you go market. I have my hubby who drove and his cousin who followed me to pack all I bought and at the end the 'alabaru' headed all the things I bought to the garage. I did not carry the least thing all through my buy buy period.

However, if you don't have someone to follow you to the market, pls go to blenco and do your shopping. I won't advise anyone to go to market alone cos of the stress of carrying your items.

But which pregnant care is 6k? The same I used to buy 1500 back then in 2014? I bought it once in this pregnancy and it was 2300. Haaa, dollar!!! abeg, and am thinking of buying it again oo. Abi na ajah things for cost like this?

We will soon move to our site there oo, can I cope with their artificial hiked prices like this? Or I visit my mainland jejely for all purchases, a penny saved is an investment to me oo.

In terms of PGP mine started at 7 months, like you said the pain makes you want to slap somebody cos the pain radiates from the upper thigh straight to the brain and I hate drugs;first episode hubby drove me straight to the hospital,dr says it's normal because d babies are gaining weight now and prescribed paracetamol,piriton to relax/help me sleep and another tablet to prevent contractions.I didn't touch any of the drugs but took a warm bath,hijack all the pillows in d house,apply Forever Aloe Heat Lotion in that region and on my forehead,within 10mins the headache stopped.But from that day no more long walks,no lifting anything bigger than a plate of food ,no unnecessary standing,limited driving,no bending,once I go downstairs in the mrn I only climb upstairs when its bedtime.Also check YouTube for exercises that helps relieve the pain.
2)Itching- uhmmm I will itch my hands,thighs,legs to the point where it will be swollen and red .I had to switch to Aveeno daily moisturising (24 hr) and in the evening when d feeling comes again I top up with Forever Aloe Gelly till now o.Dr prescribed calamine lotion but I refused to use it cos it reminds me of my childhood chicken pox nightmare

Generally, prices at Blenco are fair, I got the first set of my baby things at Dosumu, but for the second set I realized that they were more or the same prices with Blenco, so I was restocking from Blenco.
Some of the things you listed are more pricey than when I got them from the same Blenco but it could be due to the Dollar rise and also its almost a year ago.

To the mamas who complained about Pelvic Girdle Pain, here is what i found that can help relieve the pain which is normal:
- Maintain good posture while sitting, standing, or walking. By doing this, you’re making sure the weight is on your two legs, when the weight is on one leg, it will increase the pelvic pain.
- When walking, take small steps so that the weight on your pelvis will be even. Wear comfortable shoes instead of heels.
- Do kegel exercises to help strengthen your pelvic floor. Breath normally, keep your back still, then work on the muscle you use in urinating.
- And if your buttocks become sore, try gluteal stretches, it helps. To do this, sit down, cross one foot over the other knee, gently, knee forward.
- If your butt is really sore, apply ice to the sore area.

I remember after my bfp, I couldn't do much, was always nauseous and low blood had me at a corner and I had to go for an upaid leave, the deputy asked why couldn't they just sack me as I had just started working there blah blah. She told me one of the teachers who has just returned from maternity leave worked until the day her water broke. At that moment, I was feeling so sick I just ran out of the office to the ladies, I stayed there till I had emptied everything in me and feeling dizzy, when hubby saw me, he ended the meeting abruptly and took me home. Few days later he told me he had signed my resignation letter when I was in the toilet, the one I knew nothing about. It was a trying time for me but he told me he couldn't take the woman's nasty comments and want what is best for his child. Sorry for the epistle o, but our children nomatter how trying this season of pregnancy may be, means more than anything in the world to us. I thank God for this gift, he/she is our first priority.

I always get bored halfway, or something will distract me and that would be it, but will try and stay focused, my baby is always on my mind, I have even abandoned my writing, as in I don't have hobbies anymore. IN THE HOSPITAL

On getting to the hospital around 12:30,i was in serious pain. I was checked and the nurse said I'm 4cm gone. That was when I knew I was in trouble. The pain was unbearable that I couldn't lie down. The nurses were shouting on me never to get down from the bed.(see me see wahala,how person wey dey feel pain go lie down ). As a sharp lady,I lied that I want to poo and after several visits,she got me a potty that I should do it right beside my bed.(she caught me )

At 4cm,i began to push and the doctor and nurses advised me not to because it's not yet time. i wanted to pull down the hospital and I begged them to do CS for me but no one listened. That was when all the pain I was feeling turn to power. I stood up on my feet and started pushing real hard. The nurses called the doctor and the 5 of them couldn't get me back on the bed. Then the doctor sent for the people that brought me.

My sister came and she was told to ask me to get on the bed,for where I no answer. My neighbour too shouted at me but I stayed firm to the ground like rock. Then come and see beating,me no feel am sha o but I can see all of them raising their hand up and it landed on me but I dey feel am like paper weight. (If to say I fit catch my GM for office wey dey always act like superman this time,na to break into 2 remain)


Thank God I was the only one in the labour ward that night so I had enough hand to attend to me. Later the doctor started giving me injections and he asked me to lie down to check me and promised me that if it's not yet time I will be wheeled to the theatre. That was wen I laid down on the bed on my own. As the man dey wear glove,all of them hold me for bed,i know say if den see rope that night,na to tie me remain .

I didn't even allow the doctor to check me wen I started pushing again with FULL force,the man just said they should wheel me to the labour room but right there as I was pushing,my baby flew out of me. Thanks to the people who were holding me down cos one of them caught the baby make e no go fall for ground.

Immediately my baby came out my body calm down and my sister and neighbour ran out. The doctor and nurses just dey shake head for me. Me no send dem so far I no feel any pain again. The nurses carried the baby after dem detach am from me and the matron use one style to press my tummy and the placenta too came out. As I lay down like gentle lady dey look dem,na so dem dey put hand inside me say placenta remain small (I no hear well) after searching round dem see am finally. Come and see the whole bed full of blood. I didn't even enter labour room to deliver. The doctor said he had never done this kind of Job before (if a consultant in a general hospital can say this).

My body was cleaned and the doctor was so disappointed to see that I had tear because my baby weigh 2.4kg. He advised me never to try what I did again in my life because I could tear my womb sef. He said had it being the baby was big,we would have been saying another thing by now. He said next time if I know I can't tolerate pain,i should better opt for a CS rather than all the drama I performed.

Dem wheel me go labour room to sew my power house wey tear and that was how I started the journey into motherhood.

Lastly, as I was going to my bed and passed where the nurses dey,after thanking them,one now said jokingly that next year I will meet them here again na so the others reject am say they no pray to dey duty wen I wan deliver again.

To all the remaining pushing mamas,labour sweet so tey I no fit wait to get belle again . May God make yours smooth and easy. Amen.

Ok, I would have preferred thearket but the all the shops I mentioned are found in malls. I guess they are Southern African owned or something, and like someone said, it would be better to have someone who will just pack everything for you to the cab or car and when you get home someone should carry for you to the house. I also like pricing before buying, I had to check the quality of things before buying, though it was tiring at the end of the day, I had only entered three stores and bought all my baby stuff at three stores for R3500 and very pleased with what I've got. Thanks to the mama who posted things needed for a baby here, I shopped like a pro and one lady even asked to see my list.

This is on the high side really. Most of these items i got them cheaper.
