Hello ladies and gentlemen... (if any lady dey shaa), I want to wish everyone success in this admission process. Just to chip in something with respect to the RP that will be following after this phase. Please if you want to use your personal account, begin now to keep all your deposit slips well, especially if you don't have any regular payslips... And anything you hope to fill in the form @the embassy, make sure you have answers to them... For those expecting interviews, if they they didn't state categorically that everybody will be interviewed, just relax, no need to panic. I wish you all well... |

Those UAF guys are demons, imagine someone's school sent Transcript, they gave it to a currier service who enviloped it, at the end when it got to UAF the guys said it was not submitted according to country specific requirement. This is because the currier service enviloped it with a regular brown envilope. When they were told that the envilope was used by the post office to protect the document, they refused to accept. When asked why they did not mail or call the school to confirm the authenticity of the document they said they dont have the resources to do so. Daft people, after collecting €100. They are racist. |

So sorry about that. Those people are crazy. I spent so much money on courier because of their idiosyncrasies. hakeembee: |

hakeembee: I don't agree with ur 'racism' point of view. 3copies of my transcript were rejected because the envelopes used to send them were first stamped before being sealed. At first I also tot they were racists. But when I rectified this ish with my school's transcript officers and new copies of my transcript were sent, UAF accepted all the 3 new copies because they were sent appropriately(sealing the envelopes first before stamping). As regards ur ish, how will u expect UAF to accept ur transcripts when they were being enveloped by the courier service and not ur school..Is courier service same as ur awarding institution as expected by UAF. Ur school, not any courier service, is meant to envelope the transcript. I believe if all necessary steps are followed by ur school officials who send the transcripts, UAF will not reject ur transcripts. |

Same thing happened to me. I sent the first batch of my transcript and it was rejected. While that of my friend was accepted from the same school. I had to have my school resend my transcripts which was finally accepted. |

shayhune:if i place two envelope side by side one stamped b4 it was sealed while the other was sealed before it was stamped would you be able to differentiate the two with all sincerity bros. Bros forget that thing if that your transcript was rejected on two or three occasion you wouldn't be sounding this way. Just thank God yours was accepted. Bros my transcript envelope was first sealed and then stamped yet it was rejected. A friend of mine got admitted to a Canadian university he only sent all his educational document including transcript via email to the school and he was admitted "na because funds no day na him person they consider Finnish school". But seriously that you suspect that the transcript might have been opened is that enough reason to reject a transcript when someone has paid application fee 100 euro, forced one to write pte. From what i observed they are understaffed and there are two many application they receive and that would definitely affect there efficiency"just check the backflap and either accept or reject the transcript". somebody on this forum was granted and latter denied his resident permit application for the foolish reason that his insurance certificate was forged, they didn't bother to contact the issuer of the insurance . We need to come together to condemn this act of wickedness, what would it cost them to scan the document and mail the school to verify it authenticity if you suspect foul play. So if i forge the transcript have the backflap stamped send the transcript myself using my school address has the sender address they wouldn't bother to verify the document. "that excuse is lame". i mailed them and vexed my hanger, i have already moved on though the thing pain me sha why are some English speaking country exempted from the language proficiency test and others are not "bros no be English you take study from nursery to university level" A country is allowed to send their transcript via electronic means other aren't why the double standard. 1 Like |

shayhune:First, it doesnt mean it happenened to me. To correct your assumption, the school sealed and stamped the transcript, but the reply from them was that the brown big envilop carries the currier service stamp ad not the school own. the envilop that housed the transcript was done appropriately. Their clam is that they should not envilop it agin with the brown envilop. What they concluded was that, Oulu has the finL decision on the authenticity of the documents. |

hakeembee:@jeffoe and @hakeembee. I understand ur plight. Issues like this could be really frustrating. Unfortunately, there's lil we can do about it. I can't count the no of mails I sent to UAF as well as the calls I made when my transcripts were rejected. We just av to move on. Also, I was able to read past pages of this thread where guys like @Olabode who applied to LUT last year didn't get admitted cos UAF sent their docs to LUT as being 'incomplete'. I just hope same feat ain't done again to present guys whom UAF told that the universities they applied to like Oulu has d final decision on d authencity of their docs. All in all, let's just trust God for the best response. 1 Like |

like mine my original result is not ready so the school sent the statement of result and I even notarized it as well but they put it as incomplete as well. like they said the school has the final say. but truthfully ll any school look at an application that has been tagged incomplete, are u meant to forge the original certificate? All we can do is hope |
Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by iceberg54: 3:53pm On Mar 15, 2016 |
Ahumareze: I don't think the school will reject your application based on that. They will only ask that your provide the certificate by July. Even people that are yet to graduate are given admission. |

Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by iceberg54: 4:38pm On Mar 15, 2016 |
Ahumareze: Yes, that's the case. Hope you applied to more than one school? Increases your chances. |
Re: Studying In Finland (free Tuition) by SCHOOLDROPOUT(m): 6:50pm On Mar 15, 2016 |
Ahumareze: You should get an attestation letter from your Alma mater stating your name, degree conferred and the date of graduation. That will definitely suffice. My statement of result was initially rejected by UAF too and I had to do that. I made coloured copies of the generic letter(to whom it may concern) and notarised them and they were all accepted by uaf in lieu of the Permanent Certificate which isn't ready hitherto. Now, my apps are complete. Saying this in case of necessity. |

iceberg54: yeah but the course I want is the corporate environmental management in uni of Jyväskylä. The course modules really gives the total package it teaches both the business and the environmental aspect of it, it is easy to say this method is not good but when asked to come up with a viable business alternative you get stumped so was really happy when i saw the course, you don't get this much detail in other schools and the modules. |

Despite what UAF said about my incomplete transcript, which i had to send the second time according to the specifications they gave as reasons for rejecting the first one. However, i received a mail for skype interview yesternyt from one of the schools i applied to(Turku) while UNIV. OF HELSINKI mailed me to inform me of the receipt of all my docs. Does this mean my application has been accepted by TURKU?? |
