What raised my eyebrow is the bail of N400,000 for a case of N309,000. Meanwhile some of top Government officials who stole Billions are asked to pay meagre amount for their crimes. Where is equity in Law? 2 Likes 1 Share |

I blame the useless bank that employs contract staff and pays them peanuts. You pay someone about N50000 monthly walk up and the city canvassing for customers. You expect the person to be sincere when you are not sincere with him by not paying him living wage. 2 Likes |

The headline makes it feel like its N309M, only for me to be disappointed at a paltry N309k. i mean N309k is not worth the beating and humiliation, do N309M and you become a celebrity even if its for the wrong reason. |

MzMercie: 1. A contract staff cannot access loans because his job is not secure, so to say. 2. Loans are usually given to business people or confirmed staff of reputable organisation; you can never be given a loan to take care of an illness. 3. The guy does not have credibility, he would still have defaulted on the loan (assuming he could access it). The guy should not have touched customers money, end of. If they throw him in prison, he will probably worsen his mother's situation.... |

Agreed he did wrong. If I am not mistaken, a common man is caught for fraud which he stole 309,000 and he is to be granted bail of 400,000. Abi. A politician steals 400,000,000 and he is to be bailed for 5,000,000 or less. Una dey see my country? Carry on judges. Keep oppressing the masses. 3 Likes |
