Tenk u so much mummies in d house,Vigilante mums n ATC sisters . BS: On monday being 14th march at about 12noon was bathing n I noticed blood stained with mucus coming out from my Veejay. I decided 2still observe things Cos was 6days past my due date n my gyny intended 2 induce me on 16th if I don't put 2 bed b4 then. fast forward to 5pm Show was still coming out n den DH was back from work cos of my call. we headed 2 d hospital,getting there d doc carried out VE on me n was 2cm dilated n I was induced by 7pm using cervical catheter. The procedure was painful but I was Still forming strong babe.

I dey hail o mama's,how una dey,team August for supernatural delivery.

Started having irregular contractions around 9pm and by 12am the contractions got stronger. By 3am d pain was out of d world but d catheter was still intact I was screaming whenever I felt. D contraction. When it was 5am. I felt my water burst dat was when I saw fire. Contractions were coming every 3 mins I was speaking in different tongues n DH was massaging my waist. Fastforward to 8am I was having the urge to poop bt the catheter was still intact so a doctor on duty came in with d midwives n took me 2 d labor ward immediately VE was carried out meconium gushed out of me and the doctor tried to get fetal heartbeat n it wasn't found.i got scared n d next thing I saw was d doctor and nurses running around trying to prepare me 4 emergency CS.i was wheeled into d. Theater and next thing I remembered was seeing my precious cutie by my side. I so much appreciate God cos evrything happened just in time.

Pls counsel ur sister to work hand in hand wt her Dr to avoid stories dat touch. Usu we induce 10days after edd. If induction fails, cs s next option. D impt thing s for mother n baby to b alive. Pls tell her nt to b scared. She shld tell God wot she wants.

Thank you, she visited a family friend, who is also a matron and she told her same thing to wait after 10 days. I appreciate all your concern

1)Who told her Vaginal delivery is a stroll in the park when some senior mamas be rolling on the floor and jumping on the bed
2)She should go and do scan straight away to check the amniotic fluid (if it's adequate) baby heart beat/rate and it's general well being.
3)Take the scan result to her doctor and ask questions like on what basis are his recommendations and tell him her fears.

She did a scan yesterday, she said d fluid is adequate, and heart beat is normal, and the Dr was not her dr formally, he just checked her file without any check on her, he just said if she didnt birth before tuesday she would be induced

Pls tell ur sis 2 go 2 d hospital nd ffg d docs advice. D longer baby stays in d womb after edd, d riskier it becomes. I always say if u don't trust d judgement of ur doc den u av no business patronizing him.

We have talked to a matron and another Dr, even our uncle in USA is a Dr, called today, that she should wait after this week...tanx

She should ask her gyn if he has concerns about the baby. Sometimes not heeding to docs advise can cost you. So she should thread carefully.

I will gladly work with my docs to ensure I have a healthy baby. I pray for a smooth delivery

No concerns ma, just because she passed her EDD by a day or so

Wow. 24th was actually my edd, bt lo came on d 9th.

My BS:

Went for antenatal checkup on Mon 7 mar at 37weeks 2 days and my bp was already rising. Also my lil one's weight was low according to the doc. Doc said to come bck on wed. Went on wed and bp was still high and the doc said he feared the placenta may be aged causing the IUGR and high BP. I was told to come for an induction the ffg day.

Went in at 7am and the process was started. i was 2cm dilated. Requested for epidural at 10am; water was broken at 11am. Labour progressed very slowly; but I didnt feel any pain because of the epidural. By 6pm i was still 7cm dilated. Got fully dilated around 11pm.

Was told to start pushing (even though it wasnt painful, it was exhausting). Vomitted at a point probably due to all the fluids that were passed into my system.

My LO finally came out at 11:54pm with her head facing up thereby causing some tears.

All in all, we thank God. Mother and LO are doing great
