You are not alone. Nigeria is becoming quite frustrating. Like another poster mentioned, wait and see if Trump becomes president or not. If he doesn't, make your move and if he does, I suggest you try Canada. There are many threads on how to migrate to Canada in this travel section. Wishing you all the best.

Hi all,pls am trying to move to America and would need help in terms of info. Little details about me: am a female,29,single,self employed, a very good cake and event decorator and will graduate this year.

I would like to work with my cake making and event planning skills not with my certificate.

Pls what are my chances and how do i go about it?

The easiest way to come live permanently in America is through the American visa lottery but unfortunately Nigerians are no longer eligible because the have exceeded the number given to them (There are about 2 million Nigerians who won the visa lottery

There are no other ways left except to marry an American citizen and you will come here immediately.

Even if your mother or father is an American citizen, it will be difficult to get you over here.

It took 6 years before my mother finally brought me to America

You need to graduate first. Is quite easier being a degree holder than going there for undergraduate studies.

That's one reason I why I feel trump will not win...he said some trashy stuff abt nigerians... (90% of nigerians...say over 3 million will not vote for him)

-latinos (their votes was responsible for Obama coming into power), and with d way dem dey born full here(wit a sizeable percentage attaining voter age this yr),am sure will not vote for him..

Leti not forget the muslims,d blacks and core white democrates...

OP....HAVE U GOTTEN D VISA? Abi u just woke up monday morning, come decide say u won come yanky?anyway like my bro said....visa lottery is closed,so u will need to
-apply for studies (new yanky rules/after 3 yrs u get greencard)....science and engineering causes ohh

OR...U come tru tourist (visitor) visa..."no worry,once u come in tru dis means,u will know d truth,and d hmnnn...will set u free "......

OR

If d top 2 options nor work, den na kokoyi (mex) u go follow ohhh...well,my friend dey here (22yr old)way follow dt way enter early last yr...she never even get work permit, she Don buy car within 6 months of arrival

I want to believe that you are matured and intelligent enough to disregard such advice. Buying a car means nothing, is not a sign of success or richness, Bytheway how much is a car and what sort of car?

You are going to USA with visiting visa whatever you do apart from visiting is a crime and a life of slavery.

Hi, I really need a sincere advice, I am in this kind of situation now, my little sister is supposed to go for a conference in America by June this year, now my family members abroad is pressing me to go in as the mother(I am her senior with about 13years)and chaperone her being that she can't go alone. And also I have the option to pursue a masters program in Missouri. Now I personally have zero to little as balance in my account to fund this program so I have got to feature someone else as my sponsor if I am to go with this option.
Now my mum and others are of the opinion that this other Way is cheaper and easier to come over, that it is an opportunity than going for admission, they are all citing my cousin who have been rejected a students visa three times. Now my concerns are
1. I don't want any dent of any kind on me or my documents, telling to go in as the mother first of all is against my principles of 'no fraud, no lies'
2.lets say we get the Visa and travel, after the conference what next? They expects us to abscond and I learnt you can't do any reasonable thing while you havre no papers, but they are all saying come first, anyhow just come, and leave the rest for us. Please the gurus, @justwise, @mperiouxx, etc if you are here please help me out. Refusing to go in with their decision will be throwing away an awesome opportunity or? What are my chances of getting admission and not refused visa from the embassy? Or should I rather look the way of Canada and surprise them, cause all they want is anyway I can relocate. Thanks all. Waiting for your sincere advice.

Listen..don't be deceived by those telling you to forge this and that to appear as her mother, you don't stand a chance in hell.

1. There is no opportunity here rather you are going to be banned by America embassy after forging papers just to get a visa

2. You can't study in USA with visiting visa.

3. You can't claim to be her mom because everything you are about to do now is FRAUD!

4. You can't work legally in USA with visiting visa

5. Those relatives encouraging you to just come over is going to use you and your little sister as slaves.

Stick to your principles and prove them wrong
