Fighting corruption is not by fighting people it is by strengthening the systems that prevents corrupt practices......Buhari is simply witch-hunting thieves....When GEJ said stealing is not corruption every one insulted him. Now with all the supposed fight against corruption ehm leaders of PDP, the economy is being destroyed. Open your eyes.....GEJ was right all along... |

plaetton: You people just lap Propaganda. Which middle class growth? We are talking of a man fleecing applicants and the man (Abba Moro) maintained his position. If things were so jolly under GEJ, will people match into a slaughter house in the name of looking for jobs? How much work did he do that he could not save a billion dollars. Think of that for one second. GEJ was terrible and the stealing under his nose was nothing short of a mystery. Any defence of such, is gross negligence and mismanagement is ridiculous. Stop throwing around Fake stats as facts. |

phenom57: Better managed economies than ours under GEJ are going through hardship due to the Drop in Crude Oil Prices. So how do you expect things to get better after Pres. Buhari took over a failed and mismanaged GEJ's government. |

We are tire of all these propaganda, what is really fighting the Economy is lack of direction, economic blueprint and road map, cause the present anti- corruption war is making life uneasy for corrupt officials, especially, the ones not in the ruling party, they are all looking for where to hide at the moment. But it is instructive to note that the perceived inaction and cluelessness of the government is more detrimental than corruption at this stage.w |

TheGoodJoe:My friend, let's put sentiments aside and look at issues with proper historical perspective. You people keep saying corruption corruption under GEJ. But of course. It is not peculiar to GEJ. Every regime in Nigeria has been bogged down by corruption. That's the fact. Corruption is a NIGERIAN thing that involves everyone , every institution. It's not a GEJ thing. He didn't invent it and neither did he expand it more than any other. The Nigerian Church, I mean Pentecostal christianity, is by a million times the most corrupt institution in the universe. Yet, we pretend blindness to the brazen corruption because it's easier to pick a scapegoat. Pls, get me right. I do not defend corruption or corruption actions of people in government. But let's be sincere with ourselves in addressing and dealing with corruption in our society. |

yoged:Did PDP actually misruled Nigeria for 16 years? Then if so, why is PMB only probing four out of the 16years? So what happen to the remaining twelve (12)? In as much as I like what's happening now, I still have some reservation in my mind whenever I see the same people that were part of the 16 years walking free and tall under the aegis of the ruling APC. |

Meanwhile, from the pics I can see that the tree cutter(corruption) is even using back hand Which is very very bad for the tree (Nigeria) and also, the economy (egg) is very small, I wonder if there is a snake up there that has been swallowing the egg before the tree cutter noticed it, again the bird (EFCC) is like a humming bird singing a beautiful song for the tree cutter (corruption)and he is enjoying what he's doing which is (cutting the tree) So my observation here is, its either the bird left its job of stopping the tree cutter which he should have done by going for his eyes and not the axe. MY ADVICE The bird should be changed to a bigger bird like an eagle because its too small for the task and it can't stop the tree cutter. Jirate: |

My interpretation of this goes thus:: Corruption trying to destroy Nigeria.. Efcc trying to kill off corruption by making it harmless.. What we are not sure of is which one will get destroyed first.. For the optimists :: the efcc(woodpecker) is efficient enough tol bring down corruption before it can crumble Nigeria.. For the pessimists:: corruption (the man with d axe) brings down d Nigerian economy before efcc has any effect on it.. |

TheGoodJoe:But we have seen no proof of that. All we hear everyday are hearsay, conjectures and innuendos. Those were good and effective for winning an election, but nothing more. |

plaetton:Let be sincere, the Oil boom at $120/140 under GEJ is the highest in history of oil industry. Every government is corrupt. Imagine the corrupt OBJ, pay $12 billion debt, $45 billion in reserved and another $21 billion in joint account. Algeria today save $155 billion from the Oil boom compare to Nigeria $30 billion under GEJ.

247Dior:The worst thing that can happen to a Nation is when you use corruption fight to win election, throw up figures to make your claim look credible but in the end you can't even jail a rat who stole one piece of groundnut. Till date APC and Buharists are still clueless and confused about how to real defend the anti corruption mantra. |

247Dior:Lol. You are so deluded!!! Budget padding has been happening for years. It has been like a honeycomb to the pdp. The executors were like an institution/cartel. It was seized by some to expose the current govt as been 'also corrupt'... Of course we know the result of that.. Heavy hammer on the executors... Cartel broken! |

banki:was thr any state govt in nigeria recieving allocation from federal govt during gej's tenure? abi federal govt spent all the monies accrued from oil sales n taxes alone? faac sharing formula even till today is 52 percent to fed govt n state n lgs share d remaining 48 percent. what it means is that d allocation vaŕies n it isnt static or fixed. federal govt have so many on its payroll, the whole armed forces, police, immigration, customs, fire service, civil defense, fed civil servants, judiciary cos till now they r still under executive pocket, medical doctors. boko haram insurgency intensified during his tenure, I knw u will say the money was looted, yes in every country that goes to war, they can never account for monies spent on war. abi how much did nigerian govt spent on 1967 to 1970 civil war? I knw u will say that was differnt, of course it was. here u r fighting people who wnts to die so its obviously diffrnt. bush spent more than 500billion on Iraq n Afghanistan war, did it quell or defeat alqeada. NO. obama came in empowered syrian opposition, he spent 500million dolls to empower them at the end isis n isil was birthed. what did ur state govr do with his own share of oil boom? unless u r from osun state then u dont need to explain. |

They would have put squirrel in place of that wood pecker now or slug, cause they are supposed to represent 'Corruption Fighter' with a very slow animal like IGBIN (snail), which will eventually make corruption fall the economy before the rescue! |

The worst form of corruption is when you subvert the will of the people from choosing who to vote for in electioneering. This government is just paying lips service to corruption. He should tell us where he got his election fund from. From kogi to beyelsa and now Rivers, he has not be able to conclude one single election because of his dangerous interest. |
