Carrick, Fellaini, Bastian. Those three cant defend. And offer very little in attack. They are players that shouldn't be starting for us on a normal day. They should only be coming in at the 85th minute to gve the team the needed push it needs to see off a game. Schneiderlin and Herrera remains the best midfield pairing we ve right now....
You missed something ;

DDG is certainly gonna make the TOTY, but I'm kinda not sure of either Smalling or Martial!

You guys can dream sha but don't get too excited. Its Lvg we are talking about here.

He probably draw the next game and lose the one after that. Na him way be that.
Lol! Top 4 is very much possible even with LVG's gaffe's. Spurs and Leicester are the only top matches left for us this season. We've played everyone else. So yh. Top 4 hopes still alive

Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m):

What was key to our victory was that our forwards were faster than their defenders.

Martial and Rashford were superb. Lingard is sometimes a laggard. But he is becoming useful in carrying the ball forward when he finds himself in the middle of the pitch.

Valencia was key in reducing City pressure, he won was the only one making real tackles and stalling City's build up. He relieved Smalling the duty of policing Aguero. And I didn't think he could offer anything near that. If these guys were around, we could have been fighting for top four.

Schweinsteiger didn't really lift us.

Pulling out Rojo for Valencia was a wasted substitue. Darmian should have gone out. When Rashford was injured we were virtually down to 10 against 11. He couldn't even chase a through ball from Martial that should have set him facing the goalkeeper.

It's clear that we should have been contesting for the title if Valencia, Shaw, Jones, Young and Rojo have been fit. These are 5 first team players who cannot be intimidated by any opposition.

AdeLaNa1:
We all know Arsenal fans. Its in their genes to compare every single one of their players with the whole world.

Considering Arsenal's attack is better and more direct than United's, Martial would conveniently bench Iwobi and/or Giroud if he was an Arsenal player.
How many goals has Martial scored this season? Compared to Giroud.

Your view may be true but it is not substantial.

On the result

"I'm very happy. I think we played a very good first half. The second half we had chances to score the second, but then we fought until the end and survived. A lot of players had cramp, but that's logical I think when you play on Thursday too. I think it [the performance] was fantastic. We did it also against Arsenal after playing on a Thursday and beat them and we have beaten Manchester City also. I am very happy because it's not easy to win here."

On the performance of Rashford

"He is a real striker and that's why I played him in that position because he can make goals and he is also an attacking point and runs the channels. I like him very much, but still he is 18 or 19 years old so we have to wait and see how consistent he is."

On the penalty claim on half-time

"I have seen it from the bench and I think I can say it was a penalty but the referee has it very difficult, he has to decide within one second. I think we have to help the referee with a video referee, I have been saying that already for 20 years. Now I think it shall turn a little bit with the new board in FIFA, so I hope that the video referee shall come."

Lingard at no.10

“Yes, that is why I have put him there [because he played well], but sometimes also I need a right winger who is fast. It’s also dependable on the opponent and the game plan, but I think Jesse is more of a midfielder than a right-winger. He played there two times very well."

On team spirit and the rest of the season

"When I see the dressing room I think it [this result] shall give a boost and real belief. It was fantastic to see. We fight every match of course, but now we have a big result and it was a long time ago that United has won here so it's also fantastic for the fans. I think we have to fight until the end. We have more home matches than away matches. At Old Trafford, we don’t lose so much and we have the support of our fans."

LOUIS VAN GAAL
Is this not the kind of "scam laced" statement he usually puts out after a slim victory before going on to lose the very next match in embarrassing fashion?

Wait till after the 38th one to avoid wailing and gnashing of teeth!
