. Thanks

I just notice oil dripping from underneath my engine, took it to Kazeem he checked and say its my power steering "that I need to change the steering". I was so shocked that I had to speed off from there to another guy who says its the power steering oil that I should just monitor it and always top it till am ready to change the steering.

I find this absurd! Changing steering? Who does that!!! Pls help.

You need to change the steering rack and pinion assembly. While not a professional in anyway, I have learnt a lot when this happened to me. Just changed mine as well., and the kazeem messed with the hose while connecting the pump. I tracked the leak to the hose and replaced it myself.

Get ready the steering assembly is kinda pricey.

Oga @Gazzuzz please I just want to het your opinion on this.
Honda accord 1998 i4
Using my trip meter I I did i70km before refueling. Found out I used 28 litres to do 170km. Considering apapa hold ups and using ac twice, can I say my car is at a considerable fuel consumption rate ( considering age)

Thanks guys for all the care and love. The car just recently left the workshop and it's recovering. The following were carried out;
1. Diagnostic scan which discovered misfire in all 6 cylinders.
2. Damaged throttle position sensor.
3. Faulty solenoid(A/T).
4. Faulty flat switch (A/T).
5. Faulty Bank 1 (oxygen) sensor.

All but 5 has been fixed as by replacing all the mentioned parts and by servicing the nozzles and changing the plugs and coils.

5 is yet to be fixed as the correct sensor is yet to be procured by my mechanic. Fuel economy has really improved as testing is still ongoing.

Best regards

Belvinho

Had this funny sound when steering to the extremes, left and right. On observation, I discovered my power steering fluid was low, I topped it n it stopped. Pls what could be the cause of the shortage n what's the remedy. Thanks.

I experience same with my Toyota Camry 1996 model... once you steer to the extreme, you get that funny sound but i just topped the power steering oil and yet i still notice the sound so i checked to discover that there's a hose which was not properly fastened.

fluids don't vaporise (well not all the time) find the leak, check all pipes and the actual steering rack, you might have to drive over a pit to look from the bottom.

I guess his car based on mine is in good condition. Mine I use 58liters for less than 280 miles. That's so bad. Though I have a check engine light bank 1 sensor 2 circuit malfunction. 2004 Rav4

possible cause of overheating are possible leak points include hoses, the radiator, water pump, thermostat housing, heater core, head gasket, freeze plugs, automatic transmission oil cooler, cylinder heads and block. Perform a pressure test.

Your vehicles sluggish movement could be caused by a lot of factors, including the fuel pump, it's always wise to test stuff before replacing, the vehicle can be scanned if equipped with an OBD socket/scanner. It is advice able to diagnose problem properly before jumping into repairs. It would also help if you could state the type of vehicle you use, model, engine type and so on.

@GAZZUZZ , pls, I need ur help. I usually have trouble starting my Primera 99 P11 only in the mornings. It just wouldn't start. I ve called my auto electrician to check it but he told me I'm not turning the ignition very well as the battery and every other thing seems fine, yet the problem persists. A friend advised me to depress my accelerator twice before turning the ignition switch and this seems to work. Pls what might probably be wrong ?

you will have to scan/diagnose. Usually the coolant temperature sensor. Or possibly fuel pressure.
