Hello, After you are given an offer from the school, you will be notified directly by the school or in some cases your agent will send your offer letter to your mail.

Your agent has no business with handling your fees, it's your sole responsibility to see that you send your fees across to the school.

The school will state the mediums through which you can pay your fees on the offer letter. The most common is through the Western Union Business Solution. Here, you will generate a payment invoice sort of, from a global pay link from the school website (or link provided in your offer letter). The sum stated on the invoice will be what you will use to fill your Form A with your bank. Hence fund your bank account sufficiently (equivalence of dollar to naira ~197/$).

Cheers.

I am overwhelmed with ur detail explanation.

My parents will be convinced by this.

Godbless you richly. ThankGod i asked cus i was almost getting confused.

I have 6years working experience, but does that count for applying for studying?

since your BSC certificate is 3years that's is not Australian bachelor degree
just apply to university of Newcastle you be sure you get admission include a referee letter detailing your working experience and your schedule of duty in the letter witting by your manager or COE.just be ready to pass through an agent cos they must refer you to an agent here in Nigeria.you can still try other schools with referee letter and other document.good luck

@ENGRJCJ
Go to engineers australia website, download the MSA booklet and read through it. then u will understand it and then u will be able to easily ask questions on things that confuse u. www.engineersaustralia.org.au visit that site and download the booklet. thats ur first step. read thru it n then come back for clarifications. u will see all u need to do and acquire...before thinking about applying.
I hope this helps.
Thanks Bro..I appreciate

For the gurus in the house:

my wife has a distinction in computer science, Ond level,
Distinction in computer science, HND level and she graduated with 4.89 on 5.00 scale on Masters level (Masters in Information systems)..... also, she has 5 years (post HND) work experience in an IT firm.......We are considering on moving over to Australia for another Masters in Information Technology by research or course work.

My question now is:

Does she stand a chance of securing the Permanent Residence after her Masters in IT ? if yes! how do we go about it the right way? If no! what alternatives are left for us

Thanks guys. This thread is wonderful.

What kind of experience does she has? What year did she finish her MSc? what is her age now? I think she will be eligible for PR. Well, let have answers first.

Hello house.

It's great seeing people get responses to questions. I just have some questions on the best way to move to Australia. I'm currently in the Uk. I have an HND in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Nigeria. Currently doing a top up to BEng here in the UK and due to finish in June. I am 26 and have 3 years work experience

It is possible to move on a PR to Australia provided that you have positive assessment and the required points. Which area do you have experience on? If you approach Engineer Australia after your study, your experience will not count although you may have 15points but I doubt if you will be given Bachelor degree in Australia. To get Bachelor degree equivalent in Australia, you have to study for 4years in some specific universities. And since your program is just 1year in the UK and your previous program is 2years according to Australia standard, you might be given Associate degree, which is not equivalent to Bachelor and you will still end up getting 10point. If you do now, your qualification will be equivalent to Australian Advanced Diploma, which is 10points and you will have 5points for experience provided that your experience is relevant to your nominated occupation. Also, you have minimum qualification required for the occupation.

The time varies, but it was about a space of 2 - 3 months in general. A third friend just got his own yesterday and submitted around 2nd week of December, 2015.

I submitted mine on the 29th of December last Year. Yet to receive final decision but have been contacted once by a CO to request for an additional document.

So you will have to release, that was how their status was until they received their approval mail. This 476 subclass visa is almost a sure banker if u meet the criteria.

Pls do you know if with a top up degree in Engineering in the UK, I'll be eligible for this 476?

I was a maintenance technician for two years before I became an Inventory Controller in an e commerce company.

What do you advice? Do I wait till I finish and apply for the 476 instead. How do I find out if a top up degree meets the requirements for the 476?

Thanks for your time

Hello fellow nairalanders,

Please i need your advice.. I Applied for 572 visa on 18th Feb 2016, I emailed embassy on 3rd march to find out if my application has been received. They replied on 4th March that my application has been received and still understand standard processing time of 3 month.

My IELTS result will be over 2 years after March, another thing is that the school i applied commences on 24th April.. And yet to hear from the embassy, please is it wise to write them an email? I have already uploaded my medicals.. Since last month too..

Awaiting your advice..

@Richnet: your case officer knows your resumption date, only if you have one for now since your visa is under level3. Concerning your test of English validity am not sure tho but I guess you should be fine provided you have submitted prior to the time it expires l, if all things work well the worst case is to provide current English test. About frequent emails or calls it is a no no idea it shows how desperate you are...you will surely hear from them when it is 3months. I think at this point just keep your fingers cross and full of prayers.
Should anyone needs svp college in Brisbane http://queensford.edu.au

@Richnet, adding to what @Laminaria had already pointed out...

Don't be troubled about your IELTS result, it's still good for your current application, provided it didn't expire before you submitted your application

Good luck...

. Well I graduated Lautech 2 years ago , 5 year course program in computer science , 1 year working experience ,I just needed to be blunt ! thanks bro

It's very rare to find a good paying job that can afford you the extra amount you will need for your subsequent semester(s) with just a student visa.

Now, with the 2m naira from your uncle, you can get a permanent residency visa, the 2million covering your skill assessment fee and PR visa application fee, so I hv learnt from my research both on this thread and other expat sites & forums! That saves you a lot of money and offers better opportunities.

If you hold a permanent residency (PR), you can move to Australia, live and work( good paying job) and then proceed to do your masters which will be cheaper in terms of tuition.

But I am not vast in this PR thing, aforementioned are as much as I know. I be pikin for that area.

The gurus in the PR area @NNBB2012 @Scrollmeout @bellong @johnsontade can help give u a better insight.

Cheers
