Just cause you have no proof for something doesn't mean it didn't happen and certainly doesn't mean you don't have the right to use public platforms to garner attention for it. If it later turns out to be slander, you can be prosecuted for that, but you can't be stopped preemptively. It's called freedom of speech, of a sort.

Anyway the social media bill is meant to do exactly what you've outlined. If your post if investigated and found to be false, then you'd be prosecuted. Right now theirs no law for the prosecution of malicious social media posts.

The teacher in question used to be my Chemistry/Biology teacher during my Jamb tutorial classes. I doubt he can do such a thing. He is a very free person though.
