I owe you an apology.....now I understand better...SA abesifazane are wholesome.

LeSudAfricaine:
hmm South Africa has 80 percent yet our country-s growth is owed to whites or arabs, which Arabs? So what you're essentially saying is that the majority of people in South Africa are doing absolutely nothing to move their country forward, it's either you don't understand basic economics or you have something against South Africa, tell me who's responslbie for the success that is Botswana? The Colombians? Stop making South Africa a case study all the time beacuse you simply do not understand the dynamics of the country

A common man dat is 75 years and above in this country ought to be given a national honour for surviving against all odds, o.p, some of us are still patriotic but it would b suicidal not to differentiate between reality and patriotism.I can still cope with any challenge this country has to offer but not with the current state of security. if i leave this country today, its simply because of security issues.........my secondary school mate left for america, after 3 months i was chatting with him and i left the conversation feeling remorseful, under 3 months dis guy skin was glowing like saudi princess, he told me the 21 years he used in the country was a waste that technically he is just 3 months old,i now asked him, what about me dat he left behind,he said technically am nt yet born.
Good point but funny ending

As we all know, Nigeria is our country, despite all the bad images and stories emanating from Nigeria, notwithstanding, I still believe we have good and valid reasons to remain here in this beautiful country.

1.Bragging Rights
As a Nigerian, you sure have the bragging rights in your country, because it's your country, you're not subject to any immigration laws, visa issues, green card etc. you're a boss right here cool
2.Good Market
Yes! Nigeria has unarguably the best market in Africa, because of our huge population and standard purchasing power, think about it,any business can thrive in Nigeria, little wonder we have many foreign companies like MTN,Shell,DHL,Emirates Airline etc... Because we've got the market... oh yes cool
3.Ease of Living
Many will agree with me that Nigeria Is a very easy country to live in compared to UK,the US,Germany and other abroad countries. This is because in Nigeria, you can live according to ur income,I.e. there are many cheap houses,no one is compelled to pay tax,the bills like electricity, water bills are relatively cheap.
4.Diverse Opportunities
Here in Naija, you can become whatever you wanna be,you can do whatever you wanna do as long as you have the capital and skills to do it,.. Whether you wanna go into importation like the Igbos cheesy,or you wanna dive into agriculture, or perhaps you wanna start a company or you wanna open a big provisions store, you can here in Nigeria.
5.Economic Growth
Who wan argue? Nigeria is the largest economy in Africa, it's the second-top investment destination in Africa, our economy grows very fast each year, this only shows you that we are heading there"
. A wise Nigerian can exploit the economic potentials of this country, there are untapped natural resources, there are unexploited business areas, meeeehn.. if you're smart enough, you can become a billionaire overnight in Nigeria. Better than being an average man in the US. smiley
6.Entertainment Value
No African country rivals us when it comes to entertainment. Be it music, be it movies,be it talk shows, be it events.. we're number one cool .. We Nigerians enjoy loads of entertainment from our local contents, our music, our nollywood movies, our comedy shows, our events cheesy... won't you rather be happy at home??
7.Environment
The Nigerian environment I'd fun,you talk of the warm weather, abundance of rain, good soil for agriculture, the many companies, the familiarity with fellow Nigerians... we are fun people cheesy we are smart cool that's why the foreigners hate us,because we too smart grin ... Naija man nor dey dull cheesy ... we keep it real cool

You can add yours. Lalasticlala,Seun, shey you agree with me? cheesy

Which right? when only the rich have access to police. or is the thousands in prison for years still awaiting trial. or inability for one to via for elective postion becos u are not an indigene of a state but was born their. or is it the witches and wizard in the villages way the tie people destiny for this nigeria. i think it is relative some people can make it here in Nigeria while some will need to move out. imagine funke the found of Main One Cable company and many others. they got their inspiration, capital and experience from living and working abroad. guy abeg park well

And still the Germans will look you straight in your eyes and call you a monkey. news flash Germans don't like anyone but Germans. they belive people like you will interpolate their race just like it's happening in USA and Britain. am speaking from facts not speculations. that exactly what they said when their chancellor agreed to take in refugees. congratulations on you expedition but mind you Germany dint grow to where it's at today by its citizens running away from it.
like many people said Nigeria is where it is at today because Nigerians don't like Nigeria. op nice post.

And still the Germans will look you straight in your eyes and call you a monkey - In this same Nigeria, someone will look you in the eyes and blow your bloody brains out for a mere 50K Naira. In this same Nigeria, the police will shoot you to shreds for not paying a bribe, off course, looking into your eyes smiley. In this same Nigeria, someone will stab you to death for just having a different opinion. In this same Nigeria, someone will look you in the eyes and call your father and mother a baboon just for being of another ethnicity.

Germans don't like anyone but Germans - Really? Yet that's the country with the highest number of foreigners, see hoe you contradict yourself.
The racists in Germany (an estimated mere 5% of the population) are far less in number, and far less dangerous than the tribal bigots we have in Nigeria. Stop living in denial.

The question I will like to ask the op is ,if he has no job and is nearing the age of 40,will he stay in Nigeria and decline the chance of travelling abroad all because he loves Nigeria
The op is very much okay financially,he goes to sa anytime he likes and has an American visa why won't he believe Nigeria is better than abroad. Even our leaders dont want their children staying or living in Nigeria .

Your fellow Nigerian will say far worse things to you, do heinous acts on you and treat you inhumanely in Nigeria than a whiteman would ever do in his country and no body or government would try to protect you (at least in the whiteman's land his govt would try to give you justice and restitution).
See, anyway you cut or dice it the fact still remains that Nigeria is a very very harsh and inhumane place to live in and It is only the wicked, heartless and morally bankrupt that strive and make it BIG in naija (when I talk big I don't mean your average middle class guy or working. Class man, I mean multi-billionaires and millionaires). In saner climes, you don't really need millions to live a comfortable life. But here in Nigeria if you don't have millions(presumably in dollars) you can't live a reasonably comfortable live. Nigeria is the only place where you work months on end and you don't get paid, yet your employer (govt and big Oga businessman) live large, frolic about in large expensive cars and rub their rich lifestyles in your face, all at your expense and yet you're expected to lick their arses and genuflect to them.

So my broda forget all this your patriotic BS! I would rather be a comfortable 2nd class citizen in another man's land, than be a piss poor, uncomfortable and miserable 1st class citizen in a jungle like my country!

Despite racism in Europe and USA. Behavior of police, army, government officials, politicians and of course tribalism in Nigeria makes racism more than tolerable.

CaptainECole:
After listing all these...you will still be treated as a second class citizen in Germany because you're a foreigner and because you're black.... Racism you know. You blacks are treated like pigs (schwein)

you don't have to fabricate lies to make your point mate. number 1 Germany doesn't have the highest number of immigrants in the world if you doubt me Google is your friend and one of the only reason they allow you guys to enter thier country is because of the lazy labour force they have and they'd rather have you do the work while they pay citizens unemployment benefits ( I don't have problem with that just making a point) and as far as my Patriotic BS I won't stop because am not doing it for you but for me and I don't know where you got that crap of having to be a multi millonier or billionaire to live comfortable in Nigeria. anyway they say reality is all about perception so go on like you said you would and kiss a white man ass and become a 2nd class citizen in his country as for me I will try a different approach. grin

I'm not saying the black South Africans aren't doing anything to move their country forward. My point is the foundation of South Africa's success was built by the whites, that's a fact and the whites still run your country to a great extent (i'm assuming you are South African). Have nothing against South Africans, indifferent about you guys, I like your music though. Just stating facts which are open to argument.

In addition, Arabs, talking about North Africans who lost their lands to the Arabs in the Arab Invasion.

...and the very white south Africans have extended their supremacy by economically colonizing Nigeria..true or false?
