We kinda have same way of reasoning.

Christ (d groom) paid our (d church/bride's) dowry with his life and blood on d cross, even though we weren't perfect, he took us and began to groom us till we understand and do his will

He guides us, protects us, provides, care etc, he's always there and we in turn praise him, honor him, respect and adore him and tell ppl how great and strong he is

That's exactly d idea behind marriage, ur husband will be ur strong man and u will be his tender woman and vice versa but unfortunately, many xtain married ppl don't even understand d concept and their marriages are not exemplary
