Guys please i have a question. I want to study masters in Electrical Engineering in Finland. With a 2.2 in bsc Electrical Engineering, what are my chances of getting admission to any English speaking school for msc Electrical Engineering there with no or low tution(below10k per annum). Please i really need your replies

@mctowel01
people will find it tiring to answer such questions because these are question u can find answers urself if you do simple research. www.studyinfinland.fi

All Ur answers are there.. Check schools and their requirements including fees if any.

And there's nothing like "English speaking school" in finland.. Mind what u write to avoid making urself a laughing stalk.

Good morning to everyone in the house. Wishing you a wonderful day. I would like to know if it is possible to secure an admission to a university in Finland using my waec and toefl result. And I would like to know how to begin the process. I got denied visa twice for Canada and it made me feel like I don't have space in canada. Please your answers would be appreciated.

Sorry about the denial bro. However, I think you might have to sit for an entrance examination for undergraduate programs. The exams can be taken outside Nigeria(Kenya and Ghana I surmise) as there are no centres in Nigeria.
That said, I think someone mentioned earlier that there's a newly introduced program in Aalto University which requires just your SAT and English proficiency test.
Alternatively, you can opt for German schools which should accept your waec and toefl.
I suggest you read previous pages.
Best of luck bro. Keep the spirit alive!

My brother God bless you for your response... I also went to the German thread some days ago and everyone there are saying I must have at least a year of University before I can apply to a German University. And I hard Finland doesn't ask for that reason why I came to this thread. I just don't know how to go about it. Please can we have discussion via whatsapp if you don't mind?

Wrong, German schools do not accept waec alone for Bsc, you must have a year one transcript from a University, an A level result or your HND. This is because our waec is not equal to the German Arbitur. There is also a pre degree program called studentkollege in German only

Oh! True that! What some people do is to attend NOUN for a year, in order to be eligible. You can try your hands on the aalto program I told you. You get to do your masters immediately after your BSc. Three years for BSc , 2 for MSc.
Concerning the whatsapp chat, feel free to pm me.
It will be better nonetheless, if we could have most conversations here so others can learn from it and right us when we err.
Still and all, pm me if need be.
Best of luck!

My bad! Totally forgot! Plus, I don't really know the nuts and bolts of BSc programs, only conversant with Masters program.
Thanks though, for pointing that out.

Yes you are right, that's what I did, Aalto requires only SAT and waec no toefl or ielts.

I'm not sure you can transfer. However, you should be able to start all over. You may search www.studyinfo.fi for more information. The current application round should end around April 20 for undergraduate, I think. So, you need to act swiftly. Your WAEC and English proficiency test should suffice.

Better yet, you may finish your 100 level and transfer to Germany. It's tuition-free too and they've got great schools. All you just need is €8,040 in a block account in order to obtain your Visa. Search www.daad.de for schools and requirements. You can streamline your search on it.

Note: Finland will initiate tuition fee from next year.

Best of luck!
