The so called monorail has nothing to contribute to the Economy of Rivers State, neither will it bring succor to our pains. The mono rail is of the cheap tools which the so called ameachi uses to scam and loot Rivers State treasury. No great citizen of Rivers State will support that 25 meters length monorail project that him (ameachi) wasted a huge Rivers fortune except is Apc co. I advise Gov. Wike to target other projects and fix the broken state Ameachi left behind. Rivers state throughout ameachi eight years administration was a disaster and a broken vessel. The roads in GRA axis of P/hacourt are wash away by erosions. Now he is the mirage minister of of transport he can make his monorail a fedral project, contruct it to Aba in Abia State perhaps to Enugu State. This gonna be very useful not only for the great people of Rivers state, but to numerous Nigerians that gonna apply the route and they gonna thank him for that. If not, then he should remain silent and let our visionary governor (unlike him) to transform the broken state he left behind.

In as much as I will not support injustice by any leaders of our great nation, I will like many of us especially youth to know that we are acting foolishly by supporting any useless politician or political leaders all because he joined a particular party.
The sin of Amaechi now is because he left PDP from the point of view of many commentators here or if not, are we saying we did not praise him to "good work(s)" in the first four years as we are doing to Woke now?
Who among of you know what Wike too will do Tomorrow?
Are we saying Wike and Amaechi can not come together under same political party?
Hmmmm! If you kill yourself fighting for anyone of them, you are the MOST MISERABLE in life.
Conclusion; What will it profit a foolish man that is fighting his friend, tribe, foe or whoever because of two political gladiators and loss his life?

From Lagos bus-stop (beginning of monorail) to UTC junction (end of monorail) is a 5min drive, 20mins walk on foot and N50 taxi fare. If that is what Amaechi is referring to as 90% completed project, then one would wonder how in the world that will improve the economy of Rivers State. Meanwhile, that was suppose to be the first phase of the project. Was he expecting Wike to sink another N50billion in such a project?

How I wish the Rivers State Govt would initiate moves to transfer the Monorail Project into a Federal Project and the FG through the Ministry of Transportation takes it over, refund the moneys already spent back to the state coffers and Amaechi can complete what he intended to achieve initially

He also said most of the projects being referred to as abandoned projects by Governor Wike were ninety-percent completed.

Amaechi, however, cautioned Governor Nyesom Wike to stop lying to the people of Rivers State.

He said, “Governor Wike said that he will not touch Amaechi’s monorail and that the entire state has told him not to continue with the project. Can someone please tell Wike that the monorail belongs to Rivers State and it’s not Amaechi’s private monorail”, Amaechi stated.

“Governor Wike, which Rivers people told you not to touch the monorail project? Is it the same Rivers people that have consistently praised the project and see it as a catalyst to jump-start the local economy and place the state at the forefront of transport infrastructural development in Africa? Or is Wike aggregating the jaundiced views of the coterie of court-jesters that hang around him daily, as the opinion of the entire people of the State?

“It is sad, very sad that Wike has elected to play politics with this laudable project that was almost completed before Amaechi left office”, he added.

Amaechi, who preceded Wike as governor of the state then described Wike as a “shameless liar” for either underplaying projects embarked upon by his administration or cornering them as his achievement.

“Governor Wike also described several ongoing projects in the State when Amaechi left office as ‘abandoned projects’, which he claimed to have completed or about to complete.

“He specifically mentioned the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo Unity road that connects the Island of Opobo to Andoni and the rest of the State. What a shameless lie! This project was ongoing and was almost completed as at May 29, 2015. May we also remind Wike that the Eagle Island- Diobu road that he once claimed to have been abandoned was 90 percent completed with just the final course of coal tar remaining as at when he succeeded Amaechi.

“It’s repudiating that Wike would even attempt to rubbish and destroy the laudable projects and achievements Amaechi made in the health and educational sectors as governor.

“Shamefully, what has happened in the past months since Wike became governor is that Wike has neglected the model schools and health facilities built by Amaechi and have allowed them to rot away, taken over by weeds and grasses, in tandem with his policy of not wanting to touch Amaechi’s projects or build on Amaechi’s enduring legacies.

“Governor Wike, these projects belong to Rivers State and its people, not Amaechi,” he reiterated.

AFTER NYESOM WIKE FINISH WITH HIS TENURE THEN WE CAN TALK ABOUT HIS ACHIEVEMENTS, AM FROM RIVERS AND WE ALL KNOW AMEACHI DID VERY WELL AS A GOVERNOR OF THE STATE. JUST AS HE HAS STATED THE PROJECTS BELONGS TO THE STATE AND NOT HIS INDIVIDUAL PROJECT. WELL JOBLESS PEOPLE CAN BE THERE COMPLAINING EVEN WHEN THEY DONT BENEFIT ANYTHING FROM THE GOVERNMENT. Wike cannot claim projects were abandoned.

Rumuagholu people are hailing wike for doing their road BUT ARE DELIBERATELY FORGETTING that amaechi wanted to do that road in 2008/2009 but the myopic ikwerre people refused it because he needed to demolish their shops IN ORDER TO EXPAND THAT ROAD.
Truth must be said at all times. Rivers people are VERY CLANNISH but it should not stop them from assessing issues OBJECTIVELY. How can rivers people sleep at night when they've thrown out the baby with the bathwater.

We were told $400m was spent for a monorail of trekable distance, was thinking he will call wike a liar that he didn't spend such amount only for him to spew rubbish up there, imagine if such money was invested into the economy of the state then. Ameachi has done his best,why not leave the new team to manage or mismanage the state as they like..after all Supreme court has given them the audacity to do so till the next three years.. Just watch & see now ! If Wike likes ,let him abandon all the projects & start new ones...it is what the state bargain for...you focus on transport ministry for now and avoid distraction

Anybody supporting Amaechi here on monorail project belongs to the devil, in fact, Boko Haram should better come and see a target to bomb. I live in PH, and pass the monorail everyday and I weep for the state. The only reason why I would never support Buhari and will continue to tag him the most corrupt Nigerian is because of Amaechi's presence in his government. Amaechi is a big scam,the monorail is a bigger scam, and the present FG led by Buhari is the biggest scam as far as Amaechi is in the Government. #WAILINGISMYHOBBIE

yes sir I agree with you that Rivers State is in serious trouble all because of Ameachi, his tenure has ended with high rate of curruption. Infact Ameachi is Rivers State misfortune. Perhaps you are not from Rivers State, but if you ever visited Rivers state and see the monorail, how short distance and know that Ameachi spent up to a tone of $400 billion you wont believe then go around Rivers State and see decay roads infrastructure especially trans amadi to woji area of port harcourt. Or maybe you visit the rural communities and water fronts in Rivers State there you gonna understand how painful life it is for the citizens. Forget about what Ameachi is putting up in national papers and other informations media, it is all wash and a common way for Ameachi to redeem himself in public. Now think if Ameachi put the amount of money he uses to construct his monorail in building roads and empowering lives, life could have be a lot better for the Rivers citizens. Ok, let be explain how short distance Ameachi monorail is, it started from station bus stop to elevation it's not close to mile one. Now the truth is that this distance doesn't take someone 10 minutes to walk on legs, taxis and buses take 50 naira from passengers to transport them from lagos bus stop to mile one of which Ameachi monorail starting and ending point is not closer to the mentioning destinations. To further impact your Understanding about Ameachi administration, he (Ameachi) took over seventy students from Rivers State to Russia and other countries all in the name of scholarships and abandoned them there, no school fee was paid, no money for up keep and accomodations, they were frustrated. the funny thing was that the parents of the unfortunate Ameachi scholarship benefitcially were incapable of affording education of that standard for their children. Those unfortunate student were thrown out the their different campuses where he took them took to, they roam on the streets. When attention called on Ameach to do something about it, he advised the parents of those kids to sell their properties and send money to their kids abroad and further went wild to said that it is the responsibility of parents to train theirs children it must not neccessary be the government. Its when Wike came in to power he brought those kids back the their parents after three years of frustration in exile. Now evaluate this with his unuseful monorail project. Do you see why Rivers hate Ameachi and Apc so much? This and other misconducts cause it. The truth I tell you none of this I explain is lie, that I swear. You can try and make enquiry about what I just explain. The man called Ameachi or the lizard of ubima is very arrogant. If free and fair election is conducted in Rivers State PDP willl win a hundered uncountable times, Apc nor Ameachi has no supporter in Rivers state. We don't want Wike to waste our fortune on Ameachi monorail project, we are not desperate to fly yet lets walk on ground.
