I have flagships of both apple and Samsung instead of joining the bandwagon of those fighting about which is best, I always buy both, by the grace of the cosmic energy, the price for these phones are not high end for me. So, I believe the deciding factor is your pocket. Buy what your pocket can carry.

This world has different brands, from standard, to premium, to deluxe and then to exclusive brands. In my world, I go for exclusive brands, it is not a waste, it is just who I am. The iPhone 6+ doesn't allow you to stream on a TV and receive a call. My homie bought it about a year ago and I've been dying with laff every time his Apple TV stops during a call. My own phone is a HTC phone that costs around N30K. I can pick a call while it's synced up to my PS4 or my chromecast.

The op is right tho... People upgrade, especially the westerners because of Android OEMs and apple's software conspiracy.... They frustrates users with software upgrade by making the older phones slower and virus prone.....contrary to this, we change laptops less frequent because Microsoft software upgrade makes our laptops faster than ever

I used to be a lover of high end expensive phones but I usually got bored of them after about two months. Last year I more than 8 phones; from Lg g pro to iphone 5 to iphone 4s to s5 to lg g3 etc and none lasted up to 2 months. Around Nov. I got myself a Gionee p4 and I can tell you its been the best smartphone ever, cheap and works well.
The one thing I miss in buying expensive phones is the attention it brings. Give me an S7 today and I'll be bored of it in a month.

I supported Apple on this one but this is not a case of "If true..." The Feds have withdrawn their case against Apple. And believe me if you have the know how, you can achieve the same level of lock down on Android. Well not exactly the same as Apple incorporates hardware into its encryption, but with a superlong alphanumeric password, you can keep the Feds busy for a lifetime if you encrypt your Android phone

I always asked why people would buy such an expensive phone being as most other phones were cheap and worked fine, but then I saw a demo on the apple page about it opening full web pages and that was it for me.

Nowadays though, all smartphones open web pages, although some more elegantly than others, but all do nonetheless.

So now, years later, I find myself asking again why people would go for expensive devices when other cheaper devices exist that work fine. In this case though, I'm yet to see a compelling reason as I did the last time, cause it seems all phones are smart nowadays.

I just got an innjoo one droid and it has a 13mp cam, 5inch screen, decent resolution (290ppi), 2Gb ram and a fast processor, all for under 30k.

So what am I missing? I know the iphone 6's and Samsung S's of this world probably have a better build quality from glass to back materials and so on, but beyond build quality, what am I missing?

Pple buy high end phones cause dey r as d name suggests, HIGH END. Do u knw d 2gb ram dat fones lyk injoo nd gionee use isnt dsame grade as d type an s5 wpuld use, dey hav levels called DDR. Evn cameras, a 13mp on a tenco isnt evn close to d 12mp on s7 because dey r tins called OIS nd lens quality, plus d body build nd chasis of dez fones r made frm premium material nd not common plastic. Evn dier screens use d latest corning gorilla protection. Everytin about a high end phone is premium nd hence expensive to make. D screen on an s6 edge costs $85 to make on each, dats d screen alone, d whole fone costs $280 to mak so hw do u expect samsung to sell it cheap? Pls understand dat dez high end phones r expensive for a reason nd dats y most infinix dont last as long as evn s4. Let's not condemn somethin we dont understand
