Lenovo K3 note was my worst investment on a phone (got mine for 49K I think) after 4 months the useless phone began to auto restart, I couldn't do shiit with it. I told myself from that point on that since I am an android person it is Samsung galaxy S series phone onward for me. I have been using a Samsung Galaxy S6 since last year and the experience have been sweeeet!
The benefits include;
- smooth running with no history of lagging eve when I play high end games and run multiple apps simultaneously.
- frequent updates
- high picture quality with both cameras
- light weight with a sleek design ( Samsung copied iPhone )
- fast charging, from zero to 100 in 40 mins
- high quality video calls and recording (I do a lot of mock ups of sales videos)

1. 5 years to come I can still sell my iPhone 6 for 70k+ if not more

3. Those phones bring RESPECT ( I dunno how but it does)

4. Those phones receive updates before any other phone

My answer to op question is personal and simple.
I've used lots of phone from tecno to innjoo to infinix to gionee to itel to iphone to htc to Samsung etc.
The one thing that makes me stick to high end phones is it's second hand value.
Low end phones has a steep depreciation curve, it losses about 50% of it's value few months after purchase.
As for high end phones, I make lots of profit buying them as second hand.
For example, I got used htc m8 for 30k last year, after a month I exchanged it for iPhone 5s with 5k added. I later sold the iphone for 50k, that's profit for me.
With low end phones, you will end up losing .

People Still Spend A lot Of Money On so called High End Phones because THEY CAN AFFORD IT.

I wear an iPhone 6plus and Apple Watch because as far as mobile computing is concerned none is better.

You're missing alot!!!

A 290ppi resolution for a 5'' screen size is mediocre!!!

Not to mention sun-legibility, true multi-tasking, live-multitasking, camera features, e.g simultaneous video and camera recording in HD resolution.

Did i mention 4K video? That's the video resolution you can capture on a mobile and watch it on a colossal flat screen TV without losing pixel count.


Most high end devices supports wireless and quick charging technology.

Besides, like cars, high-end devices are statement of style and class!

Oga, difference dey o. I lost my Samsung Galaxy Note II last February, then I got a Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo, which I'm using now. I can tell you, I'm finding it difficult to come to terms with the drop in quality- in terms of speed and fluidity, RAM size, battery life and integrity, speed of charging, screen resolution, camera power, audio quality, loudness of external speaker, and most painfully, the lack of an S Pen.
My brother, there's a reason high-end phones are sold at their price, there may be a little over hyping and over pricing o, but better thing good die!

For most people...it's ego....and these are the people that sacrifice a lot...even body and soul to get it... the very people that use it to mainlygossip talk and chat and aimlessly browse the internet sparingly since they be struggling and begging for credit. Some can simply afford it....no sweat....while others do need it for speed and other capabilities for work or business purposes...which the lower end phones can't do or take too much time processing. Whatever the reasons...the show must go on!
