Tinubu did same, condemn Tinubu for setting the precedent.
Under IB government, we are managing the change, we deserve revolution.

K. We are watching.
But I must be quick to point out that Notice of Appeal does not operate as stay of proceeding. So until Court of Appeal gives order to stay the CCT trial, Saraki's trial schedule to commence at the Code of Conduct Tribunal today can still hold notwithstanding Saraki's fresh application. Before any application filed in law court takes effect in law, It must first be heard and pronounced on by the court. This is the position of law.

A lower court such as the CCT cannot sit whilst a senior court such as the appeal court is sitting on an interlocutory appeal.
Irrespective of what the ACJA says, it will be termed judicial rascality and disrespectful to a higher court.

What do you call an Appeal after Supreme court judgment.

I don't even understand the deal, Saraki struck with this Tribunal Judge...

For goodness sake, Saraki was arraigned under the ACJ Act 2015, which does not give room for stalling trials or filling of useless motions... so what is stopping the tribunal from telling Saraki the same?

Any motion from Saraki can be entertained even heard but that shouldn't stop the substantive case from going on...

What is this country turning into for amadioha sakehuh
Dont worry, he can stall all he wants but he cant escape!

There is a cliché that says "Give a fool/thief enough rope, he will hang himself".

Now, revelations from the "Panama Papers" have also revealed hither-to unknown cases of corruption against the turn-coat of a Saraki...... that is why he needs more time to "figure-out" what to do, with his legion of corrupt IMPORTED syndicate of Lawyers

you will NEVER make it as a lawyer or paralegal if you keep twisting the law in this manner. Although am sure you're one of those countless charge n bail ikeja lawyers.

Nigerian looters using DEMOCRACY to play legal maradonna. A special court should be set for these thieves. ALL Sub-Saharan African countries will continue to retrogress perpetually if death penalty (like China) isn't imposed for looters. Mumu Nigerians! !

ROME WASN'T BUILT IN A DAY:IMPATIENCE IS NOT A VIRTUE.
I think I love my country and no one can say it to my face that he/she loves her than I do.I have made it a duty to be curious, because curiosity is the mother of inventions. And I strive to know everything going on politically, economically and socially as scenarios unfold on daily basis.Through what I read and listen to on media,I can feel what Nigerians are passing through and how hard to be a Nigerian at this time of economic hardship. The economic weather is so cloudy that nobody can forecast or can tell whether it's going to bring soothing rains or scorching sun.The free fall of Naira is akin to the stumbling of Zimbabwean dollars and still no measure or policy rigid enough to control or curtail the downward trends. But in the midst of all this, impatience is not a virtue and pointing accusing fingers won't help either.
We breathed a sigh of relief when the much awaited buget has was passed after Hollywood-like drama that ensued between the power brokers. The usual practice of padding almost threw the entire nation into an uproar before succour was found in the name of amendment at the upper chamber.Though the budget contains some anomalies, but I still believe if meticulously executed,it would surely alleviate the untold hardship Nigerians are passing through at moment. We just need urgent stimulus because waiting game won't help any longer.
In a simple social parlance, people would say,has budgets not been passed before? Is there any concrete or tangible things that came out of them in the end? Yes,these are questions that truly deserve being aske by patriotic citizens but still, we can't hurriedly conclude that this will be like those ones that had gone down the drains or gone to the same few mouths feeding fat at the expense of over 170 million helpless mouths. We must not hope against hope or throw in the towel when we can still dream and make it real.Remember we endured for sixteen(16) years of PDP's locust reigns. The reign that can only be likened to an Hollywood movie called, 'The Reign of Fire'. We wailed and lamented but the drunkards were busy feasting on the 'national cake'.Not even the clueless and shoeless President who held sway and supervised the voodoo economy, and then came out with bogus figures to deceive the gullible henchmen and followers saw reason why we were wailing then.To them it's ours to wail and them to plunder. If we could managed to survived in those locusts and mean years,we should be able to exercise that same golden patience for this present regime and see whether Buhari and his men have what it takes to lead us out of this troubled water we have found ourselves. It's known that this regime will not elapsed until 2019,it invariably means all wailing and lamentations is of no use now, except ones born into the river of tears can continue to wash their faces with the legitimate tears.
In a nutshell,we should just let all hands be on desk and support this government with our prayers and efforts.Perhaps,if they fail to learn but also toe same roads their predecessors toed, then we can now chase them like we did to PDP and its born to rule mentality. No party is indispensable on planet earth. We proved that here in 2015 and can still be repeated .We are more sophisticated and informed than before .Take us for granted at your own peril! Now our duty is more than wailing or hailing but contributing positively. And be objective in your judgment rather than being a bigot, blind critic and hater of nation in one stinking corner there. We should let them know that brooms and umbrellas won't be enough to us deceive in 2019.But above all, patience is needed on our sides.

All the efforts Bukola Saraki has been dispensing in stalling or delaying his trial implicitly proves he is guilty as charged. For if he is innocent, he could have moved for an accelerated hearing to prove his innocence.
Come to think of it. Is our Supreme Court no longer Supreme and final arbiter ? Why challenging a case already dispensed by the Supreme Court in lower court.
Why intimidating CCT with about 80 SANs and still do not want to be tried ?
Who is paying them?
In Nigeria, everything is possible including dead man still collecting salary etc

The same exact method Tinubu used in his own trial.
If you must condemn Saraki, you owe it to your children to condemn the Jagaban of Corruption too.

What's good for the goose is also good for the gander.
You are peddling falsehood. At no time did Tinubu engaged in this delay tactics during his trial. Stop this nonsense!

The law can be very interesting..the way lawyers are dancing around the truth even when they know the reality but they still believe there is way to turn black to white amazes me.. They called it logic in law ..May God have mercy upon our legal luminaries. In any case they are doing their job..only God can tell if they are right or not. The makemba dance will end somehow someday.

What do you call an Appeal after Supreme court judgment.
Have you heard of an interlocutory appeal??
The supreme Court earlier gave judgment on a fresh application by Sarah challenging the jurisdiction of the CCT.

I have the following questions to ask:
Does filling Notice of Appeal alone automatically stays the lower court proceeding?
Does filing application seeking a favour in court automatically gets you the favour before the application is heard in court?

You can revisit my comment after your answer

I doubt you understood my comment
To your first question it does not automatically, the lower court could suo motu adjourn pending the determination of its appeal.
Sarah is challenging an interlocutory judgement , if he wins their won't be any trial to return to except the Supreme Court rules otherwise.
