Stop yelling.

Contacting the Embassy is the appropriate step.
Please what's the possible response I might get? Can it be reversed if it was truly cancelled?

i hardly comment on personal issues of people i do not know, but i am forced to drop my 2cents on this one about to make a grave mistake.
please dont bother petitioning for her to avoid problems for yourself.

if she gave you up for adoption, and you became a citizen as a result, you are better off not proving to USCIS that the main reason you got your citizenship which is through adoption by a USC is all scam.

AFAIK, if they knew your bio mother could be there for you, just as she is about to, they wouldn't give you that GC or citizenship
and if you are intelligent enough to bring it to their notice, please get ready for whats coming.

Since you have a hard time getting the spelling of ADOPTION, i guess you need a simpler interpretation of the word retroactively rescinded,
it means you will be stripped off of your citizenship and it will be dated backwards so technically, you were never a citizen and you face a possible removal from the US.

And liable to pay back any/if any benefits received as a citizen

What are the chances /odds that people will not ask their chances of getting a visa ever. cheesy

I am new hear and would need your views on this.

I applied for a B2 Visa and had my appointment last week for the purpose of childbirth. I had my doctors correspondence and bill and i went without my Hubby. i drafted my budget based on Doctors&hospital bill which altogether came to about #800,000. I had #840,000 and intended to stay in a suite for 2 nights before moving to a relatives place and my relative had written me a letter of accommodation(which i went with to the interview but it was never requested for). The hospital and relatives place are all in Houston. On my Ds160 i used the address of the suite as where i would be staying because at the time i applied and booked i was yet to get my relatives candid YES. Eventually the interview was Unsuccessful. it went like this:

ME: good morning
VO: good morning, why do you want to go to the US
ME: i will like to have my baby there.
VO: get your doctors correspondence and statement of account
ME: handed them out (because i had already arranged them......correspondence, budget, hubby sponsorship letter, hubby company introduction letter, hubby bank statement)
VO: (after reading through all docs line by line) you think about $6k will do for childbirth
ME: I made my budget based on the bills thee doctor sent me.
VO: for your informationn, childbirth will cost you $10k -$12k. (He typed for what seemed like forever while i waited while looking intently at him.)
VO: (finally looked up) Sorry i cant issue you bla bla.....................you simply dont have money for it. (gave me the green paper)

he nerver askedd me any other question. just those two questions. Though i didnt start planning on time and so didnt have the money to prove at the time, the money i and hubby were expecting has finally come and i am thinking of reapplying. I know with close monitoring on the CGIFE website i can get an appointment in an short as 4 days. My concerns are these:

1. How will it look my appearing there again after just 2weeks.

2. will it paint me a lier if i finally use my relatives address as where i will be staying on the new DS160

3. How will i be able to explain the new bank statement which now has more money without looking suspicious.

4. Does it make any difference if i go with my husband this time.

Good day House,

Please myself (33yrs single, I have a job as well as a small fashion business which is not government registered) and my little niece(4yrs old schooling) will be attending my sisters wedding in the U. S. We are participating as her maid of honor and little bride. We intend only staying for 14days. No other member of the family can attend due to work and other personal issues. My sister,'s fiance is sponsoring our trip.

1. Does my sisters fiance need to send letter of sponsorship or affidavit of support?

2. What document do we required for the interview and what are our chances?

Thanks

@Zeelady, 800,000 ngn is definitely not gonna be enough for childbirth in US.

Ticket alone for you and infant, best case scenario :250,000

Doctors fees best case scenario : $1700

Hospital bills, Pediatrician, accomodation, feeding and transport nko?

Visit the child birth thread on nld to get an idea of costs.

Dear VO,

I am pregnant with my due date in the second week of May, I applied for a B1/b2 Visa and got 24th April as my interview date; I have a letter from the hospital in Texas expecting me on the 17th April and need to travel at that time, been trying to see earlier available dates btw 7th to 13th April but so far no luck and I haven't rescheduled yet; however a message comes us which says
You are approaching the maximum number of times you may view this page. Please complete your transaction at this time and if I cancel this appointment I will have to pay another MRV fee.
What does this mean pls and is there anyway I can get an earlier date? I have all documents and funds in place.

Thanks

1. It will look like nothing has changed since your last adjudication and the outcome will probably be the same.

2. If you are inconsistent without an explanation it is cause for question.

3. If it sounds suspicious then it probably is.

4. You have to qualify as an individual. You are an adult. You do not need someone else to chaperon you.

You can reach out to technical support if you are having website issues. There are wait times for appointments. It is in your interest to plan this in advance.

2) Is there a question?

You submit a visa application and take them for an interview just like you would for an adult.

So does this mean i qualify for dropbox renewal in Nigeria?

abujaniv:

Hello HerbertObi,

Unfortunately, if your last visa was issued outside Nigeria, in the past one could not use Dropbox. However, the guidelines for the Dropbox program will be changing effective March 15 and are as follows:

To qualify for the DHL Drop Box Visa Renewal Program, visa applicants must be applying to renew either a B1/B2, an F or M, J, an L, or an H visa (must be applying for the same class of visa). They must satisfy all of the following criteria for their visa class. If applying as a group or family, all members must fulfill each criteria to use the program.
For a B1/B2 visa holder:
• The applicant is a Nigerian passport holder; if not a Nigerian passport holder, the applicant principally resides in Nigeria and their last visa was issued in Nigeria;
• The applicant’s last visa interview resulted in an issuance;
• The applicant was issued a two-year B1/B2 United States visa;
• The visa expired no more than four years prior to reissuance;
• The applicant was at least 14 years old at the time of the last issuance or will be under the age of 14 at the time of reissuance; and
• The applicant has never been arrested nor had an encounter with law enforcement, customs, or immigration officials in the United States.

Dear VO,

Good morning, my elder brother that works in the us invited me and my dad to come visit is family come summer. I currently work as a drilling supervisor since 2014 & I intend applying for my annual leave of absence from work for July to make the trip. I went for the visa interview in company of my dad & the visa officer asked if I work and answered yes staying where I work and what I do, he then asked if I was married wish I answered truthfully as NO , he also asked if I have travelled out before wish I also answered NO to. he then approved my dad and denied me. My question now is before I went for the interview I got an admission offer for a masters degree wish I have been expecting, now I'm so scared so that my denial in the b1/b2 visa category will not affect my application for the F1 visa category. pls help

This is a thread for asking the consular officers. You were given a paper explaining your refusal at the time of adjudication.
